Today, millions of ordinary-looking Brazilians will vote clear-eyed and unapologetically for fascism and for f**king the planet. It's an eerie parallel to the US since 2016. I fear the same outcome.

The resurfacing of a suddenly reapproved Musk makes me nervous about the US mid-terms. There’s no way his remit is confined to just a revitalisation of the armed services (for which he, like the undead Gingrich, is completely unqualified anyway). That’s just a front. This is about fixing votes.
