Snagged this word count by accident yesterday. Getting so close to being finished with the book that has been the hardest for me to ever write.

I’ve always been a pretty emotional person, but having kids just took my depths of emotion to a deeper level that bleeds into my writing.

I like a little bit of both! I feel like writing in my comfort zone helps me really hone my skills to be ready to go outside my comfort zone!

Oh if that isn’t my struggle lately!! If anyone has tips on balancing things with a toddler and a newborn, I’m all ears 😂

To C, thank you for reminding me it’s okay to be a little broken. To M, thanks for reminding me we all deserve love. To K, thank you for reminding me we don’t have to be the stereotypical badass to do great things. And most importantly, to N, thank you for giving me a way to channel my grief.

Hi all! I’m KL. So glad to finally be back for a chat now as a mama to 2!! A show most like my WIPs would be The Witcher!!

For my next book, it would be Playing with Fire by Thomas Rhett. For the WIP, it would be Monster in me by Little Mix

The last 75% while drafting. When the end is in sight it just feels like wading through mud to get there.

I was on a writing hiatus when I had my first but I have been thinking a lot about writing time while nursing since I’ll be sitting anyways. What did you write with? I figured I could use my phone but I’m also curious how writing with a laptop would go.

K.L. Ziggler @klziggler.bsky.social · 22/02/2024

Yup! I found reading to be the thing that really helped me adjust to waking at night with my first.

Hi all! I’m KL and I write romantasy. I’m not currently reading anything, but I’m creating a list of books to read for when my baby gets here in a few short weeks (reading is the only thing that keeps me awake during those late night feeds).

No plans for me this year as far as submitting—but I do have an idea for a book stewing that may be commercial enough to go the trad pub route, but I’m still on the fence.

I have a specific schedule I try to follow to get things accomplished, but being a toddler mom means sometimes it just doesn’t happen that way, which is okay!

Hi all! In KL! I just released my debut romantasy Saturday (😱), so I’m working on marketing. I’m also editing a second book and slowly drafting a third! (I’m trying to get as much done as I can before I pop this baby out in a couple months.)

Officially hit the point in pregnancy where the laptop no longer fits in my lap well due to my belly. Writing on the couch may soon be a thing of the past for a while.

K.L. Ziggler @klziggler.bsky.social · 11/01/2024

It’s a book called ‘Noisy Trucks.’ 😂😂

As a mom with a toddler, my writing set up varies. Sometimes it’s at my desk at work, sometimes it’s standing at the kitchen counter, or sometimes it’s curled on the couch with a blanket. No matter what, I need my trusty laptop and water bottle.

The bad: I don’t have as much time to read as I used to. The good: I get to beta read so many great books now!!
