More details:
After watching the starlings outside my window, I was inspired to make a sweater mimicking their plumage. I looked for a bottom up, round yoke pattern so the tan “V”s would be the correct direction. Ringle was it! - this means I used the pattern for basic shape but omitted the stripes of the original pattern. I just sort of winged it (pun intended 🐦‍⬛) when deciding where to put the Vs

Confession- I don’t really like to knit socks. I really want to like it. I like wearing them, they are easy to carry around, but I can never get through them. I finished this first sock in 2022 and just decided to work on the second one … 😜 (Yarn / pattern info in alt text) #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶

It’s blue week for #ShowMeYourKnits and I just finished this scarf requested by my daughter. I made the vertical stripes with purl stitches and an applied crochet chain after knitting. It is just a tube that I 3 needle bind off both ends. Yarn is Jamieson's of Shetland Double Knitting 🧶 #knitsky

#ShowMeYourKnits WIP! I started this shawl last year to give it to my mother-in-law for Christmas. I got bored / didn’t want to stress over it so I decided to put it on hold. I’ve picked it up again, maybe a gift this year? There is always Christmas 2026 😁 Pattern/yarn info in alt text 🧶

Now my guess is most people make the bonnet for babies, but like most (all?) tincanknits patterns, they offer everything in all sizes from baby to adult. Sometimes I (we?) need an adult sized bonnet… just because we can (and should?) 😁🧶

#ShowMeYourKnits this week is Autumn themed - here is my “The Golden Hour” by Andrea Mowry Knit using leftover yarn - looks like Hudson + West Forge and Magpie Fibers Nest Worsted. I don’t really remember knitting it, but I think the sections were different enough to keep it interesting 🧶

Finished my “New Terrain” by yamagara using Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino colorways Soft Mint and Soft Blue held together. (It’s reversible!) I’m really pleased with how it came out. This is the second pattern by yamagara I’ve knit and I am really happy with both. 🧶 #knitsky #newterraintee
