I get kind of obsessed about accidents like the one at Six Flags, but it's not me being callous. My dad was an engineer in steel. He had to assess damage and do the repairs. I've been obsessed with machines my whole life. I've got folders full of plane crashes, ships sinking & yes roller coasters.

Every weekend in my neighborhood is like Super Bowl Sunday. You have to get your groceries Monday- Thursday or you're screwed. The upshot is that I spent 14 dollars for supplies to make Dollar Tree pizzas, and they were pretty good!

I've been having a shitty time, after a near fatal accident on a bus. No one was hurt, but a station wagon pulled directly into the path of the bus. The bus had to swerve into the oncoming lane, around the wagon, and back into the correct lane. It was heroic. (1/2)

I remember walking out of the office after the evacuation order, looking out over Grant Park and feeling horrible that we had our park while NYC was covered in dust. I walked with a stranger all the way to North Avenue. We split up and I squeezed onto a bus to Dominick's.
