Tried procreate yesterday at the Drink and Draw using stock brushes. Then I bought Samurai Ink brushes today and replicated from their demo video Guess which was which? I have a limited understanding of Sumi-e style, but I did enjoy it last time I tried it on paper years ago

Working on a spell quire this morning First time burning leather on the engraver 10 power and 10 speed are the final result for best result with clear lines and minimal overburn

Its done. 24” tall. 23” wide. 17” deep. It holds my dnd books. My minis. Accessories. Has handles and wheels. Prolly takes 2 people to load into the car. Cost more than i’d like to built. But hauls in one trip. Worth it.

All the fabricating seems to be done. I started painting the frame before wrapping up for the day. Tomorrow i stain wood. Hopefully sunday i can assemble Slow going because i do a cut or drill a bit, then rest in shade with fan. I was sweat soaked all day

Frame and walls of GMing cart. Books will go on bottom shelf. Then a map shelf. Then 2 rows of 3 drawers for minis and such. Then in the space above that, the top will be hinged so i can get at props and such.

The whole thing will have a pair of wheels at the back, so you tilt it like luggage to roll it about.

Looking to come closer to a tonal match on the loki horns (foam) to the loki hand guard (leather) I think its a lot closer. Used and acrylic bronze which was the closest match i could find and many black washes

Wife and friend are cosplaying a con this weekend. Friend wants to be an archer. I can do that… Old leather quiver. Block of wood. Dowels. Tagboard piece of spam. Painting and staining, then gluing. Then i rework how the quiver mounts to belt or back.

I finished the dnd ship this weekend Each deck is a layer and comes off to reveal the next. So when boarders appear again, we can fight them off in tactical style Wood work is basic here, but the laser engraver did a great job laying out the grid and walls

Success. Loki paldron strap anchor works. I don’t love the position of the front strap and its plate bit, but thats how it came riveted. When the black pleather breaks on day…. The anchor bit works great. Can’t see it with the coat, so the lesser detailing won’t matter

Slowly dirtying up the leather bits that will anchor my paldron to my belt loop My friend Lee is sewing a new chain mail piece onto the armor. The. She’ll work out the holes in the coat for the paldron straps to pass in order to reach the aforementioned anchor

It’s out this morning. So while yhe wife sleeps in, i am laser engraving the main deck of our d&d ship and designing the mounting solution for my Loki cosplay pauldron Starting with cardboard to test sizing/shaping

It’s hot again. Like 72. Dog proofing work done. Stone blocks along fenceline to discourage digging under. Indoor dog pen walls to keep her back from bird. Poop scoop to aid in cleanup (she poops more often than Athena did) And a clicker for training. Am tuckered out. Dog is flopped nearby
