Habitat loss and fragmentation reshape host-parasite eco-evolutionary dynamics Intact landscapes dilute parasites and homogenise coevolutionary trajectories Fragmented landscapes promote divergent coevolutionary dynamics, raising the risk of new parasite variants emerging doi.org/10.1098/rspb...

Drivers of complexity in ecosystem restoration
This study shows that ecological complexity is empirically measurable, and its development in restoration can be influenced by key variables, which have mechanistic underpinnings. The foundational ro...

We studied how landscape & community structure shape species persistence under habitat loss. Heterogeneous landscapes = high persistence under random loss but highly vulnerable to spatially correlated loss Mutualistic community nestedness boosts persistence! 🌺🐝 doi.org/10.1098/rspb...

Geographic Mosaic Theory of Coevolution proposes that some environments are coevolutionary hotspots and others are coldspots. We propose moving from binary classifications to a continuous gradient of coevolutionary temperature. doi.org/10.1101/2025...

Restoration ultimately aims to recover complex ecological systems with many interdependent species at large scale To understand the driving processes, we combined experiments & modelling Finding a trade-off between species recovery and food-web complexity onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
