[link to Deltarune speculation of mine, silly use of glitched screenshot from another game] In celebration of Deltarune chapter 5 coming out two weeks from now, I've made the questionable decision to write up my thoughts on what seems like a plausible […] [Original post on wandering.shop]
Hinawa's letter home from the beginning of the fan translation of Mother 3, except it's glitched out, I think from being accessed before character names have been assigned?

Various words cut off abruptly, Lucas' name is "Mr. Passion" while Claus' is "Boney", and the letter is addressed "Dear Reconstructed Caribou".

I didn't have the book crawl in me today, but I did make it to Unabridged and picked up these two: Hailey Piper's much-recommended A Game in Yellow, and @slhuang's The Language of Liars which I'd been waiting for for a while and just came out this week.
The two books in question, held by me: The Language of Liars is a hardcover with a tentacle-y design, and A Game in Yellow is softcover with a picture of a melting woman.

[bad joke about old videogame, fanfic, and translation of a Nietzsche book title] I can't believe that, even after two decades, no one writing Xenosaga fanfiction has used what's just the most obvious title.
An AO3 search showing no results in the Xenosaga fandom for the title "Die fröhliche Wissenschaft", which, like the subtitles of the actual Xenosaga games, is the original German title of one of Nietzsche's books.Another search with no results, but this time the title is "The Gay Science", which is what that book's title has historically been translated as in English, even though that makes the title somewhat misleading given contemporary usages.
