I don't even know if it's supposed to say "racist" or "rapist" and I'm not sure which is funnier.

I sometimes look up "rainbow Kirin" because I like seeing other people's art of the same idea. I try not to engage with AI overview, but it pulled up my artwork. This is ridiculous

A mobile screenshot ofAI overview for the Google search "rainbow Kirin."

The text reads

"Rainbow Kirin" general refers to a vibrant, multi-colored artistic interpretation of the mythical Qilin/Kirin, often featuring Lisa Frank-inspires, holographic, or pastel designs. These creatures are popular in custom, handcrafted, or small-batch art by creators like TheRainbowKirin on Etsy. It merges the traditional, virtuous, deer-like, horned East Asian chimera with vivid, modern color palettes.

Common Rainbow Kirin Depictions:
Art and Collectibles: Often sold as stickers, acrylic charms, and holographic prints

Custom Costumes: Handmade "furry" fullsuits featuring long white hair, scales, and rainbow elements.

Pop Culture Influence: Inspired by neon, kidcore, or fantasy themes.

When I sober up, I'll watch it and see if I can return it to them lmfao I found this at a local art supply recycling shop. I'm losing my mind.

I've taken a snow holiday but I'm too excited not to share! I bought a Disney Sing Along VHS a while back and finally put it into my VCR today. Huh, it doesn't have a label....and it looks way longer than 30 minutes? I ACCIDENTALLY PURCHASED SOMEONE'S 90'S WEDDING TAPE! THIS IS ABSURD!

Oh man, I've loved these guys for YEARS! It's been a while since I've listened to them, but their songs have been in my head over the last few weeks. This is clearly a sign to get them back onto my playlist. :p

Woof, three convention rejections in a week's time. While I know that it's nothing that I'm doing wrong and that competition has never been higher, I wish that they had been spread out a bit more so I could mentally recover lol Crossing my fingers that I'll get into the next one! Wish me luck!

I began work on this poster before my hard drive died and the original file was lost- I was hoping to have it done before last November for certain reasons lol. But it's finished now. I never thought I'd make such a political piece, but y'all know I can't resist the wordplay. #furry #furryart

A parody political poster in favor of the "Leopards Eating People's Faces Party."
There are three anthropomorphic leopards in green military uniforms giving a salute. They are wearing a red armband featuring a paw print.
The background is a stylized rising sun.
The art is somewhat stylized like old political prints.

The bottom text reads "Because a leopard cannot change his spots."

I've been doing cons for over a decade. It has *never* been as difficult to get into the vendor hall as it has post-Covid. Even small, local cons are getting a ton of applications from people traveling out of state. Believe me when I say that it's not you. <3

I giggled at this way harder than I should have. I made this sticker with a similar idea for my Crayon Club a while back. ^^ Taste the rainbow~

A crayon drawing of a wide-eyed goat with crayons in his mouth. The text reads "YUMMY!" in rainbow colored text.

Aww, that's a shame. To be fair, it's a pretty recent thing where I live so they're mostly in the cities. Even so, like these more. There's something about art made with whatever's available that speaks to me on a human level. <3 Thanks for sharing them and getting me inspired! :D

"I want to do a project, but don't have the equipment." Check if your local library has a "Makerspace!" They have things like 3-D printers, Cricut cutters, laser engravers, button makers, sewing machines, art supplies, large format printers, and more! Using them helps secure more funding, too. :)

These are really cute! I love the DiY aspect of these so much! I almost hesitate to suggest this because the cardboard is so charming, but check with your local library if you haven't already! One of mine has a Makerspace with a button maker and other free to use equipment. ^^

A bust badge of my friend's #furry werewolf character, Snarl. :) This might be one of the best stylizations I've ever done. I was playing around with eroded VHS overlays since the design would be right at home in an 80's direct to video horror film with unexplainably good special effects lol

A stylized cartoon drawing of a brown werewolf with pale, yellow eyes. It looks vicious. The background is a starry blue sky with a large moon.
The red text reads "Snarl."

The same werewolf drawing with effects added to resemble a degraded VHS tape.

I've admittedly been having a difficult time writing a reply because that's simply not true, even if it may feel that way. I can't tell you what to believe or how to feel, but I can tell you that about the only way to stop improving is to stop creating art altogether. You'll get through this slump.

Glad I could help! This is definitely a student grade set, so if it turns out that you really like working with it, consider getting an upgrade down the line. :) Watercolor is a rather unforgiving medium, but one I really enjoy. Can't wait to see what you do with it. ^^

I've admittedly been struggling with a similar feeling lately, but I don't think I could stop creating if I tried. Do your best to remember that progress isn't always linear- especially in art. There are highs and lows, especially when your observation skills outpace your drawing skills. :)

posting this old piece again for no reason whatsoever

a graphic illustration painted by Wings & Strings of bubsy the bobcat, wearing only a white t-shirt with a red exclamation mark printed on it--the feline rendered in an uncomfortably high amount of detail for the defunct 3D platformer character--beating the ever-loving dogshit out of two nazis on the streets of a battle-worn french village, disfiguring their faces, sending their dislodged teeth spewing forth like ivory comets trailing viscous tails of spit and blood. One nazi is knocked unconscious and falls lifeless to the cobblestone, another cowers, sobbing and blubbering as a mix of snot and blood stains their face, their arm raised in a feeble attempt to defend themself and also conveniently censoring bubsy's junk from the viewer which is presumably just, completely all hanging out in the open. one of bubsy's paws is clenched in a bloody fist, having just knocked out the first nazi. in his other hand is a molotov cocktail, its wick burning brightly, destined for the pile of wet kindling that is the second nazi, soon to be charred like an immoral bratwurst.

I'm a big fan of watercolor and Ken Sugimori's original art. This particular set is just *chef's kiss.* If you're looking to give watercolor a try without breaking the bank, I personally recommend this set with a watercolor pad. The packaging might look different, but it's the Prang semi-moist. :)
