OP being kind of an exhibitionist is a very big guilty pleasure of mine . he gets to be a bit of a freak sometimes, as a treat he's always so private and uptight about everything, so maybe he revved up at the thought of potentially getting caught . just food for thought

Bee would feel ashamed at having to need an eye on him any time he has to eat, i imagine he's a little shy and embarrassed at first at eating with actual other mechs around, even if its only OP and Elita for the longest time Prime is gentle, Elita tries to be, and thats enough

of course both Elita and OP both catch on soon enough, they both try to gently coax him (Elita with significant more effort to being gentle) into having more portions each cycle and try to stop him from hoarding

i imagine Bee post-TFO continues to hoard energon and ration it by pure habit, he knows how to perserve it long enough to make it last and can function at (mostly) max capacity despite of how little energon he consumes

OP hasnt left him alone like that since, there have been other attempts later down the line but every single one ended up with either OP hearing Bee freak out, or with Bee knocking on OP's door, and the attempt would be swiftly canned for the night
