Nearly 35k into the first draft of my novel and the last 400 words might just be the funniest thing I've ever written... oh my word I think I'm on fire

Sharing a project I've been working on for nearly a year... a massive megamix of tracks by the 90s techno band Underworld, full of new mashups, unexpected transitions and extra samples!! youtu.be/tMQehaAGolk

Shoutout to Japan's nuttiest idol group 3776, who have just released their first album in five years - THE BIRTH AND DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE THROUGH MT. FUJI, fusing geological timescales with the high school experience and some of the most eccentric art pop ever produced. Very possibly AOTY 2024!?

The album cover for 3776's THE BIRTH AND DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE THROUGH MT. FUJI, depicting idol Chiyono Ide floating in space with the planet (and Mt. Fuji) in the background. It looks better than 2001, that's for sure... Stanley Kubrick, eat your heart out!

Chiyono Ide on a magic carpet made out of long-time band mascot 3776-tan, who looks like a sort of... white thing with black ears and a very simple face. Don't ask me, I didn't make it!

Went camping recently with two old friends... a copy of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and a trusty towel. Never leave home without them!

A man holds a copy of a rather worn-looking Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy omnibus and a towel. Both excellent of course...

Snail's Houseとらっパルの「うたかた」のみさきとあやめ Misaki and Ayame from Snail's House & rapparu's "Utakata" MV [ #art #snailshouse ]

misaki and ayame floating in the night sky, holding hands and smiling with stars in their eyes. a shooting star arcs across the sky behind an oil pastel misaki is holding. the pivotal sentence of ayame's story, 「忘れないで、君たちは何度でも結び直す事ができる」, arcs the other direction behind a pencil ayame is holding. behind both of them is a large snail-chan with a constellation of herself overlayed on her.
