I am currently struggling to support my child who is currently forced to go to school with the boy who assaulted her. The law supports his right to school and no support for her to not see her abuser every day. The laws do not provide for removal. Even a restraining order is not enforced.

Today I am teaching my teen how to be alone. Go out and eat lunch and read a book, by herself. I can’t help but think it might be one of the important things I teach her. To sit alone and be at peace. To be enough by herself.

It truly is. I have been so thankful that my daughter, who has CP, has had a pediatrician with CP herself. She is always up to date with treatments and care, as well as being an example of how to thrive.
