Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Oh that was the kicker the last time I was out of a job. Work basically said I had "quit" rather than was "fired" because of a paperwork loophole that I didn't realize I was stuck in until it was too late to get taken care of. Therefore my Unemployment got denied. 200
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Finding a job should be more equal footing rather than rolling on our backs, showing belly, begging "Please sir, I want a job" while folks hiring can simply say no because you aren't a "Perfect" candidate. 110

Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026And finally, to wrap it up, if you do want an interesting look into how the Hollywood concept of the "Wild West" started, look into the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody, Wyoming. It explains how his traveling show perpetuated the "Wild West" vibe, as well as some of the stereotypes. 040
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Some cities in the west might maintain a historic building and/or a museum of that time period, which I highly recommend looking into. 120
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I would also look at places like the Sitting Bull monument and Little Bighorn National Monument, which not only focus on the Native American side of history of that time period, but also covers the "Indian wars" part of our history. Sitting bull is also Native supported IIRC 120
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026For Post Civil war stuff there are a few old ghost towns that are maintained with more of the "Wild West vibes." Tombstone Arizona does try to keep some of the actual history in the area alive. 130
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026For example: pre-civil war westward expansion(1840s) will usually have National Monuments and Parks show off some of the buildings and lifestyles of the era. Some people actually do occasionally hike then trails as reenactments as well. 120
Kit Yote ☽⛤☾ @kitulf.bsky.social · 03/10/2026That part of history does not really get the reenactment that our earlier colonial history does. Depending on the time period you get different things. 120
