I think the snuggling plushies part should be mandatory. For me maybe it would be modified to "Filling pamps while snuggling plushies, filling pamps while snuggling plushies with friends, filling pamps while snuggling plushies and cuddling, filling pamps while snuggling plushies in bed..." etc.

I have a friend with cerebral palsy and severe mental disabilities that makes them barely functional. I have watched people coldly tell them to help themselves when they are incapable, because of this "everyone for themselves" mentality, and it makes me angry. We are stronger together.

I don't understand, I wasn't talking about myself. Helping requires resources (money, time, knowledge, abilities, etc). Those who need help often don't have these resources, so they need extra effort to help themselves. Those who have these resources can make a larger impact with less effort.

Yeah! I feel this strongly. If I have the means to help another, I always feel that I should. I have seen too much suffering... It's often easier to help someone else than it is to help yourself. I believe if we just helped each other a bit more, the world would be a better place.

Gosh, I love making my own plushies now. When I see art involving plushies, I get kind of annoyed when artists draw random seam lines everywhere. Why would you sew the pieces that way!? They shouldn't be there! Haha. I really appreciate artists who draw plushies properly.

Credit unions are non-profit, unlike banks, which have shareholders. Deposit dividends are basically the same as interest from your perspective; you sort of own a percentage of the credit union based on your balance, and you are paid that percentage of profits the union earns, more or less.

New seal friend in progress, just about finished! What should I name them? Some ideas I been thinking of are Snowy, Snowdrop, or Reginald. This one took a bit over 6 hours of work, I'm still having trouble lining things up properly with the mink fabric. Have lots of practice to do!

That's something I had a hard time with a decade ago. I am actively trying to move past my issues and connect with others with similar trauma as a support group, but a lot I meet only care about themselves. Hurt people hurt people. People have to be willing to change if they want things to change.

If someone asks me a question, I always try to ask them that question back at some point. It's important to make others feel like you care about them. It's not enough to care, they need to -feel- that too. Otherwise it doesn't make a difference. Often people won't reciprocate and it feels awful.

I learned this past year that cuddles, hugs, head scritches are nice! Platonic shows of affection are lovely. Physical contact was almost always abusive for me. Until recently I've never gotten to experience it positively, so it's all quite overwhelming and makes me melt if I feel safe.

I went to FWA, my first con experience. It was hard. I'm extremely anxious, barely functional when socializing. I wasn't able to visit any panels. I don't feel safe expressing myself. I'm grateful for all the support! I want to finally start healing from my past trauma. This was a good step forward.

I have the same kind of problem! I like the fittings for M and L at ODU, but they need to be an inch or two longer maybe. I find that the snaps end up being too tight and if I'm diapered it squeezes too much.
