Beyond that I've also picked up Bright Lights of Svetlov, For Sale, and The Void which I'm super curious to check out -- especially for the last one, Icepick Lodge makes some awesome games, haven't heard people talk about them outside of Pathologic which is strange because this game looks cool...

I played nophenia today, definitely one of the better games I've played this year, I really liked the exploration in it and felt like there was a lot still left to uncover while playing it, beyond it also just being something that calmed and soothed my soul. Go check it out it's on sale meow!!

Alright. Skyrim's wrapped up. Due to character limits I'll be short. Not very good. All of its positive features are constantly weighed down so intensely by the bad that they may as well not exist. It shows zero love for its predecessors in spite of constantly calling upon them and feels spiteful.

Yeah real, to me it's kind of the sad result of the Devil's bargain that was made for Skyrim to be so huge. Dumb down the world, writing, and mechanics, and what you wind up with is a huge game on release that with time ages like milk. I could talk about this sorta thing for hours hdshgsd

like I've played all the ES games (except Arena) and finally am forcing myself to fully sit through Skyrim, I've finished the College of Winterhold, the civil war, I'm partway through the main quest, and good lord every dialogue option is groan-worthy and makes you sound so inattentive and obnoxious

I feel like I should in part blame Marvel films for Skyrim's horrendous dialogue writing and player-character options that make the Dovahkiin feel like they literally never pay attention. Of course that's cheeky and not fully true, a lot of blame lays on bad RPG writing, but I mean it feels so right
