while we do have M-cones out the wazoo, i maintain that "green" is still not as linguistically overtaxed as "blue" (and that better recognition of cyan as a distinct color would ease some of that pressure off "green" as well)

we already have to teach what indigo means when we teach roy g biv, but we forget to also teach "secretly 'blue' means 'cyan' here". there are far fewer Roys going around and even people who use middle initials anyway. they already fucked up the ABC song, just make a new rainbow mnemonic too

Did you know? The color "blue" technically doesn't exist! The cones in our eyes detect light from different wavelengths relating to teal, cyan, cobalt, and indigo, which are then combined in the minds of English speakers to one fucking color apparently

or they just didn't see it! new characters always have to work harder though. with a kink, or fanart, you're connecting to something people already like. with a character you have to show a LOT more about their personality or their setting to make people "get" why they're cool and not just Some Guy

i love your work! but also don't be afraid to smush or distort the models when you're just looking at one angle. behind-the-scenes on 3D animated films always look so goofy with how busted the models are in some shots. do what "looks" right instead of what "is"/"should be" right, y'know?
