Just a quick note to say I might not be posting here as regularly for a little while. My fibromyalgia’s been flaring up, and keeping up with multiple socials has been a bit much lately 😔

I really would like this heatwave to go away 😅 the mixture of autism and medications that make me more susceptible to the sun/heat is brutal. I can’t be the only one who isn’t enjoying it? 🫣

Went to my first session of my pain management… to realise I had just sat down in the wrong group and introduced myself to a bunch of people who have been doing it for 5 weeks… my pain management actually starts in 2 weeks 🫠😐

#Cat training tip of the day: Never punish. It damages trust and doesn’t teach your cat what to do, only what to fear. Positive reinforcement is the most effective way ❤️

Poor Harvey has been without (bedroom) hammock for 2 nights now.. he’s been jumping into it from the bed so frequently that it was getting wobbly so we have had re fill the holes and put it up again, he is NOT impressed 🫣😅 #cats

We had a beautiful calico girl in our garden yesterday. She had a harness on, but it looked loose. I’m worried she is a missing #cat potentially, so cat dad is picking up a microchip reader later this afternoon and I’m putting out some food to see if we can get her back 🤞 Send us positive vibes 🐾

Harvey is too big for the lounge wall furniture already 😂 his little legs sticking out… it’s too cute. Luckily he has his larger hammock upstairs, but we might have to upgrade these too 🫣 #cats #servicekitten

If my therapist sees this, no she didn’t. Scrambled eggs with cod, on lamb lung. For my cats. Because clearly I’m emotionally stable and definitely not spiraling into a gourmet fantasy world where I’m their personal chef. Did they even say thank you? No Will I do it again? Obviously #cats

Why service cats make better service animals than dogs! ….sometimes 😅 Everyone knows dogs are usually the first choice for service animals…and honestly, they’re often easier to train and more accepted everywhere. But cats? They’ve got some special talents that don’t get enough credit 🐱✨ #cats

What are people’s thoughts on #cat cafés? I visited one today and was really impressed…the cats seemed well cared for, the staff clearly adored them, and they had a whole floor to retreat to if they wanted space. Visitor numbers were also limited. 1/2

What makes a good service cat? I’ve had so many messages asking lately, these are the main things: Confidence, food motivation, calm focus, the right energy, and a strong bond :) #servicecat #cats #hedgewatch
