Good Evening, Bluesky Family & Friends Tonight's "Nocturne" is the 3rd Movement from Russian Composer Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Moments Musicaux, Op. 16", which honours Franz Schubert, and also Johann Sebastian Bach. This movement is definitely an Elegy. It is marked 'Andante cantabile in b minor'.

Putin’s war has left Ukrainian families burying loved ones and children waking up to air-raid sirens. Trump answered by helping Russia sell diesel to the world. More cash for Putin’s killing machine, and still no relief for your gas bill. #TrumpsAbuseOfPower

Good Evening, Bluesky Family & Friends More Bloodwork Today. I feel like I'm feeding some Vampire. Tonight's "Nocturne" is a song. French composer Gabriel Fauré was inspired by Emma Bardac, his lover, to read the poems of Albert Samain. "Larmes" (Tears) was set as "Pleurs d'Or", (Tears of Gold).

Good Evening, Bluesky Family & Friends Tonight's "Nocturne" is a good pick for a Sunday. It's hard to get a clear picture of when this piece was written, but I think it was finished around 1896. The composer is French Harpist Henriette Renié, and the piece is titled: "Andante religioso".
