look at this. this is F1 22, a _very_ modern, graphically intensive game, running at nearly 60 fps, at 1080p with no upscaling or frame gen, on an athlon x4 845 and a radeon pro wx 4100 (equal to rx 460) every setting set to minimum, but still. it also dips down around 40 sometimes, but still

my steam replay is depressing (5 of the games played were accidental launches, 1 of which was one of the "new" games played, and another of the "new" games was doom 2016. the third new game was peak, which I only played a single time even though I liked it a lot and wanted to play more alone)

some of my steam replay stats, showing that I played 14 games this year, 3 of which were new to me, and rimworld accounted for 84% of all my playtime over the year across 162 sessions

also got this one for the vista computer. it's two years newer than that computer is but I think that's still pretty period correct. there was an older but more powerful card available too, but it required external power and I didn't want that, the 20 year old power supply probably can't handle that

I didn't do this, but now I will do this my emulation folder is 2.4tb currently, only 62gb saved on zstd:2 according to compsize let's find out how much of a difference zstd:19 makes. see you in 1765 days I guess
