Random #AlbumReview: 1984 - Van Halen One of the earliest non-KISS albums I owned. It doesn't get much better than "Jump" & "Panama" back-to-back. Fantastic right up until the final 2 songs. Love the "1984" instrumental. Only recently came to appreciate how good "Drop Dead Legs" is. RATING 8/10

#MovieReview: #Verity. This isn't really a cerebral thriller as it requires a suspension of disbelief in order to accept certain things, but as long as you can do that, it's quite enjoyable. The story keeps you engaged throughout and the late movie twists are pretty "Oh sh*t!" worthy. #Filmsky

Now headed out to see "Verity"! ✍️ Only learned about the existence of this movie yesterday. The trailer looks interesting, but has a trashy grocery story novel turned major motion picture vibe. I desperately need a palate cleanser after "Digger" so fingers crossed for this one. 🤞 #Verity #Filmsky

#MovieReview: #Digger. I'm not gonna sugarcoat this: I hated this movie. It even makes my Top 10 Worst Movies I've Ever Seen In A Theater list. Cruise was good as expected, but he's the lone bright spot. About once a year I suppress the urge to walk out of a theater. This was that one time. #Filmsky

Today from the Mental Jukebox: "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult. Given how hyped I am for #Godzilla Minus Zero, this song got in my head this week. While looking for the studio track, I found this live performance that's WAY better since they have a big ol' Godzilla head on stage with them! #Musicsky

#MovieReview: #ForgottenIsland. WAY better than expected. I love weirdness in movies and this was chock-full of it. Much of the humor feels aimed at adults while kids can still enjoy the visual silliness. Loved how the girls went on a non-alcoholic blackout bender yet had the same results. #Filmsky

Now headed out to see "Forgotten Island"! 🏝️ The trailer didn't really sell me on this one, but the Rotten Tomatoes scores are really high and Dreamworks tends to make good movies. And if this 3-eyed blue baby demon thing is in it then that's probably a plus. #ForgottenIsland #Filmsky

#MovieReview: #Primetime. The show itself was crazy, but behind the scenes it was somehow even crazier. Robert Pattinson is excellent here as Chris Hansen who was anything but the calm and collected guy who'd instruct perverts to "take a seat". The final episode was quite the clusterf***! #Filmsky

#MovieReview: #TheWeight. A Depression-era film about labor camp prisoners is not the kind of movie that I'd normally be itching to see, but its main stars influenced my interest. While the movie has its slower moments, it has just enough tension & thrills to keep you engaged throughout. #Filmsky

#MovieReview: #Onslaught. You're never sure if Adam Wingard is intentionally making a B-movie here or if it's just unintentionally bad. While it does hold your interest, the biggest problem (and there are many) is that the trio of super-soldier baddies are simply underwhelming. #Filmsky

#MovieReview: #Hope. The movie isn't perfect: it's long, CGI isn't great, and it clearly exists as a Part 1. That said, it's pretty goddamn bonkers — and that's a compliment! I love how they inject humor into what should be serious scenes. It also has the best diarrhea story ever told. #Horrorsky
