I am not confused. During the Grand Dérangement, French Canadians from the Annapolis Valley and the region they called Acadia were exiled and transported to various other countries. Some found their way back to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Louisiana.

Mr father was English; my mother was Welsh. My three siblings were born in England, as was I. You're right: Canadians have come here from all over the world and we've created a country that is the envy of the world. Reconciliation with FNs will make it even better.

That's false: he's spent his adult life in Peru where he is a naturalized citizen. He has a French mother and an Italian father; he speaks Spanish, Italian, and English; and he has visited Gaza and says he will not remain "neutral" about the conflict. Doesn't sound very Trump-like to me.
