Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 3hNot uncouth at all; I’ve gotten quite a few similar questions. I‘m not able to do that for now. I’ll be sure to post if I offer anything in the future, though. 000
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 07/10/2026By hood, I meant the neckpiece/ faux fur hood that is button-snapped onto the mask in this video. See some vids further down my page for views of the mask without the hood attachment. 000
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Yeah, Youtube and tiktok and all kinds of sites have broken-down tutorials, but the basic method is building with EVA foam and foam clay, then hot gluing faux fur to it. The color on The mask part of mine is dry brushing. And nah, I bought the poncho! 100
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Button snaps! There’s a bit of fur trim on the mask behind the ears to which it can connect 000
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Nope, this is all drybrushed! I did use airbrush medium to thin my paints and keep them from making everything too crispy. 100
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thank you! It took a long time; I was so nervous haha. The color takes a while to build up. And sure! Always happy to talk about processes. Let me know if you have other questions! 000

Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026<333 that makes me so happy to hear. Truly. Sharing art and discussing it and having that mutual joy over it is really my favorite thing (and the only thing, actually) I use social media for! 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026For the mask, I kind of followed existing tutorials - but really it’s a matter of practice building the shapes from whatever base material you want (I used EVA foam and foam clay). The hood I modeled after a hoodie I had, but ultimately had to change it a LOT, so that patterning didn’t really work. 110
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Lots of video tutorials out there! That’s kind of how I did it - just watched tuts of the steps of building with EVA foam / foam clay. Then looked at bases of finished masks I liked to try to see what shapes I should go for. The hood I just kinda had to sort out and tweak as I went, haha. 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thanks! I’m hoping sometime soon I can get cool pics outside with it. ^^ 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thank you! Yeah, I’m relieved it all lined up well; I was afraid I was going to have to fiddle with the edge of the hood forever to get it to attach seamlessly to the mask trim without any gaps. But it really looks clean. 010

Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026So, the hood is mostly Big Z furs - that’s how it has the agouti look with the black tips on some of the hairs. As for the mask… allllll dry-brushing very carefully with acrylic watered down with airbrush medium. I could have airbrushed it but knew I’d mess it up lol. 110
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thank you!!! It is indeed quite soft, haha. The Big Z fur that makes up most of the hood is really long. 000
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Coyotemaxxing every day. In my triangle era. Totally yap-pilled. 020
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thank you!! And yes, hah, I love the ear notch. The kind of raggedy look suits me (I have about a million scars from everything under the sun haha). I have the same mark on my actual ear as a body mod :> bsky.app/profile/kiso... 100
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Button snaps! I wanted something pretty secure. There’s a bit of trim on the mask where the hood can attach. The poncho was from a second-hand site; the seller told me they got it in a village in Peru. It’s alpaca wool, but I don’t know if it’s 100%. I had to tailor it a bit as well. 110
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I wish! no, it’s an alpaca wool one I got super cheap second-hand :} 111
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Removable hood attachment for my mask. This kind of pushes it closer to a fursuit vibe, but it’s fun to have the option. I also modified this eye set a bit to look more like a natural animal‘s eyes. Hard to see here, but the hood has tan and reddish gold at the sides to match my tail. 451717322
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Always happy to answer questions! I hand sculpted the base from scratch using EVA foam and foam clay. 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Wow, what a compliment, thank you! I tend to prefer looks like this over a more “traditional” fursuit look. 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Thanks! Warm, too… I’m looking forward to busting it out more as the weather cools off. 000
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Thanks! I think it works pretty well together! This might be a Halloween look this year. Still thinkin’. 010
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026It’s an intentional choice - plain black eye mesh. There’s an alternative set that’s painted: bsky.app/profile/kiso... 100
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Oh thanks! It’s alpaca. I got it from a secondhand site super cheap. If I remember right, the seller said they got it in a village in Peru. 020
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I’m digging the poncho with this, but I have some plans to maybe improve the look somewhat… 553862
Kisota @kisota.bsky.social · 13/09/2026It also has two buttons on top of the hat and a bootlace that disappears into the boot. 151
