My world book day outfit was a joy to wear. The kids loved this panto dame interpretation inspired by Oh Yes I Am by @mamagstories.bsky.social and Toto #worldbookday #kidlit

I feel there is a lack of podcasts out there to showcase the work of UK Children’s & YA authors. Booklings Chat does just that. - if you are an author and would like to be on the show let me know!

Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody by @patricknessbooks.bsky.social and Tim Miller is the best read aloud book! Expect big belly laughs from your children, bizarre happenings, hilarious chapter titles and practice saying GIANT ROBOT PELICAN SUIT I challenged myself with the accents too!

Why The House with Chicken Legs by Sophie Anderson is such an amazing story: 💀 The unique plot 🧒🏻 Brilliant character arc 👵🏽 Badass old people I especially loved the way the MC empowered herself with confidence to carve her own path. An essential MG read @sophieanderson.bsky.social #middlegrade

Hi I’m Kirstin! I’m an author of these lovely rhyming picture books which are LGBTQ+ inclusive and represent a diverse range of families. I love writing joyful stories and reading children’s books.

Front cover if Daddy’s Scared of Beasties. It’s the frightened face of the main daddy who is white with bushy ginger hair and glasses. He has a spider in his head and is surrounded by insects. The background is turquoise which makes his ginger hair stand out.

Front cover of My Family is so Scottish. The family is mixed heritage predominantly South Asian Scottish and featured against a royal blue background. The main character is a girl with brown skin dressed as a highland coo

Front cover of My Brother is a Vampire. Features two brothers of mixed heritage skin tone. The vampire brother is at the front dressed as a vampire

Front cover of My Brother is a Werewolf. The older brother has werewolf ears and tail and is back to back with the vampire brother. There’s a wolf print and a moon in the dark blue background
