Crash Bandicoot speedrunner, and long term inspiration of mine, Potty, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. If there's any way you can support him in his battle, I urge you to do so. gofund.me/cdef628a4

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

on a training course and if this place had anything nearby it'd be an amazing venue for a speedrun event

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

had some interesting results trying Bear on OPL, interestingly dupe is still a thing in it, really want to get into the maths of why it happens on console!

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

I have a much nicer version of OPL working on my PS2 now but the loads are slightly worse. I'd like to try and get my SMB OPL fixed then consider returning to runs. Not sure what yet beyond Riders and maybe Bear; I'd like to expand my palette

SONIC CROSSWORLDS DID WHAT

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

just to clarify I am CONSIDERING quitting speedrunning I'm not out yet and do have a 15 to get in Riders PS2/get Bear GBC WR back

010

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

it all started when I failed to secure a job with Pride of Place, made the last two and part of the plan would have been to hold a massive games bash at a large venue in Blackpool. Going past it tonight brought it all back especially seeing how Blackpool has (and hasn't) developed since then

110

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

having dwelled on it for a while I think not being in first cuts for ESA while other people got multiple in has been the kick needed to formally quit speedrunning haven't done it in a while anyway but think I'd be best off using my skills to work on the fundraising/sponsorship side

110

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

of course this has led to a board split but the way it happened is mildly amusing

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

I try to get to work just before the first flight of the day takes off, the only time I've ever made it was when I was ON said flight, can't even speedrun life smh

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

I would never intervene on a Mr Blobby run

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

just randomly walked into a speedrun event how's your day going

110

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/04/2026

seeing a sonic riders booth at an anime con was an out of body experience. unc still got it

010

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

2/2 wrong warps in the main category. Bad RNG in Tag with Tutter and Ojo's Memory Game cost easily about 40 seconds alone - WR is on the cards! The stream comeback will be soon

010

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

got corruption glitch in practice lmao

So I think they were Retro Fix and Games & Stuff but the quality was so high this market I'd love to look into every stall. I left early and didn't get back in time but would love to see Console Passion again.

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 08/02/2026

bought a HAUL today in Leeds and Doncaster. So much PS2 trash, promo discs and more. Two of the traders had a tonne of promo discs and I suspect there will be some gems in there that I'm not aware of.

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

Going down-left in the attic gives you this effect, where it doesn't load the middle room correctly and Ojo goes to the failsafe at 0,0. Going left-down here can wrap the game around and load the bottom floor, which would actually be faster if it was consistent!

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

this glitch is still as ridiculous as ever. the way the rooms work in bitbbh means that when you move your d pad to move across the room by an entrance there's a split second where you can jump into the target room early. each interaction has its own effect.

100

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

the way that memory game is meant to work is that you guess one crate, then two, then three, then up to 6 depending on the mode. In Adventure it's only up to 4 but you can glitch past that. By using this glitch, you can make the game think you're right and wrong giving you the point and reset to 1

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

a bit of playing with it. if you play normally you get much lower times in the top left, sometimes it acts up though. the second example is what I hope to see more of, so use the glitch on the second cycle to either get the point or quickly reset back to one crate appearing.

100

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

SOLVED IT: you can confuse the game into thinking you're in both a win and fail state at the same time, which gives you points you're not supposed to earn, and can save up to 15 seconds in Memory Game

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

it's a weird one in Memory Game, where the X and Triangle crates respond differently to multiple inputs which can effectively skip an entire cycle. No idea how it actually works as Memory Game even with perfect turbo is inconsistent, but it seems getting a 1/2 chance is what gives you an in

200

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

been playing bear again for 20 minutes found a new skip lmao

what if you wanted to derust sonic riders but your ps2 can't find the ssd

000

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 13/12/2025

raised today in Hypno's stream the possibility of me using work's internal media to promote a speedrun marathon if/when I get in one next. that is potentially a big chunk of change

010

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

Legend has it that in Italy you're never more than 10 feet away from a top level Crash Team Racing player. I've been on a few buses in Rome today. I get it

There's an anime con in Southampton today across from where I'm staying so I figured I'd give it a go. There's a speedrunning panel tomorrow which I'm not going to make. Anyway it's been 10 minutes and I've already seen everything. This is absolutely SHAMBOLIC

110

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 27/10/2025

Crash getting a TV show is great but I'm still going to bitch about it not being anime

010

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

in true sonic riders fashion the babylon garden lockup has returned in chao park Now I've finally beat all the base cups in Cross Worlds I'm not sure what to think of the game but I'm definitely not infatuated with the controls

Kiri @kirisiac.bsky.social · 27/09/2025
