My VRChat account has finally been reinstated after the wrongful ban 🥳

Kire @kireworks.dev · 26/03/2026

I appealed the VRChat ban but only received a generic response... I'm shocked and dumbfounded. VRChat is my main social outlet and I care about the communities I'm part of and volunteer in. So this really hurts

I also got hit with this VRChat ban wave. It really sucks to be accused of doing something wrong and punished for it, without knowing what I did. I've never acted maliciously in @vrchat.com or knowingly used client modifications.

This message is to notify you that the VRChat account registered to this email has been sanctioned by the VRChat Trust and Safety team.

Moderation Type: Permanent Ban
Applied at: March 25, 2026 12:52 PM UTC
Expires: Permanent
Reason: Malicious conduct: use of client modifications. This ban is permanent.

Your account has been permanently banned, and cannot log into VRChat. This ban will not expire.

We take moderation decisions seriously at VRChat. Our team issued this sanction as a result of an investigation and review of relevant evidence. You may appeal your ban here.

You may review our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines on our website.
