iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I try to keep my media tab clean, however I believe this was important wisdom to share

Due to my coloring/rendering process, I often have to create what I affectionately call "the flesh orbs" before coloring the flats.

I thought I could tank the loss mentally but I'm actually really fucking sad now LOLLL 🥹

You guys will get to see the lost sketch! I don't like sharing the full image of my WIP's in public normally- but I feel disheartened enough to just scrap this and rethink the pose

Hi so due to some file mishaps, this sketch is now lost media! How fun! I'll just reimagine this piece anyways, the lesbians are delayed

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

YEAH EXACTLY, and each piece feels like a reset so it's hard to pinpoint my "default" in the first place!

Incredibly funny how this is my only Marie fan art, I'm sorry squid sister stans

An annoying aspect of being a self-taught artist is that I was really bad at teaching myself. I lack basic fundamentals which make me take ten times as long on something that Should be basic! This Jenga tower is built atop a single piece of wood! AAGH

WIP but this woman is in peril

181

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Honestly yeah, It's starting to give me the ick. I've reverted to calling my queer relationship art as flatly gay

010

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I suppose I haven't drawn anything straight in years actually..

010

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I'm going to draw something gay now

Ysee, you appear to have too much whimsy for the AI to detect your age properly /s

Shoutouts to the one person who liked my Gigi Murin tweet (what are they called here?) you're awesome

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

An incredibly good game with a surprising amount of Real customization! The Splatoon fandom online mostly sticks to itself though.. I assume it's because the terribly childish advertising done in the Wii U era ruined any chance of the English fandom being able to be taken seriously elsewhere

Gigi Murin new outfit is very cute :o

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

You could do a lil retrospective piece!

120

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Yeah, honestly unsure as to why they didn't bother with the remake? Even the switch port of Mario 3d world had online, even if it was really bad

010

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I think it's just not wanting to spend resources making it work "good enough" rather than an old fashioned ideal. Star Allies has like ten million effects going on at any given moment which probably made planning for online multiplayer a non-starter. I do want it though..

Omg how did I miss this reply- thank you, I didn't realize that about the outline LOL!!

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Felt like I've kinda stagnated but actually putting my work side by side really helps. I've also evolved stylistically so my decision making when approaching a piece is much different even if my process is relatively the same.

When it's been long enough between my last fan art of a character, I like to look back and see how my style has changed. 2024>2025>2026

Sometimes I get the urge to draw a character in a basic bitch pin up pose but my own ego prevents it. Unclear if this is good or bad

I do have this one piece I'm really proud of, but I'm not allowed to share it yet and it's been knawing at me.

KirbybiM @kirbybim.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I'm really dissatisfied with my (non sketch) art quality as of late, it's kinda annoying.. Next full art I'll try to lock in more
