"The Enslaver colonies consist only of a Queen and Soldier caste, lacking any true workers, relying completely on raiding other species and fellow ants to survive. Their bodies are built for butchery, with a mutation of duplicate specialized mandibles, a small pair for grabbing, and a larger folded back pair for a powerful snap.
Enslaver onslaughts are brutal, with the shock-wave of dismemberment cracking like chitin lightning, stunning their surrounding opponents as they chop and chop. Their goal is less the slaughter of the enemy, as much as the complete thievery of their larvae. Though some will be eaten, many will be raised as servants for the Enslavers, doing the task they cannot.

Enslavers, however, can be too successful and eliminate all foreign colonies, or can be too weak to fight and raid, and so alternatives are sought....

The Myrmiluk people are the result of several generations of kidnapped and reconditioned human beings, the defiant ones instinctually culled by executioner's mandible and the rest kept in check by barbed whip antennae.
Clothed in ancestral rags and larval silk, the Myrmiluk duties involve tending to their master's offspring and spotting nest parasites invisible to the primarily scent driven ants. This work scars their sunless skin with red blotches of formic acid, but the rewards of security and consistent food have made them loyal.

Though most only ever know the organic light of the fungus grown for food and visibility, some sneak off with the ants to scout the surface world and feel their ancestor's sun.
These Myrmiluk scouts are revered back home for their hauls and stories, impressing their peers with chitter-tongue tales of strange lands and antless wildmen.

Much of what is known of the Myrmiluk comes from captured scouts or those whose ancestors escaped the burrows of a dying colony.
Most enjoy their free lives on the sun blessed surface, but some have halcyon memories of the tunnels and the safety brought by ant masters."

The Swords Grow Wild - Vagusbaan A massive ancient alien missile circling the stratosphere of Heliconia, overgrown by it's own biomass and incidentally maintained by an ecosystem of hitchhikers. Someday it will plummet and remind this era of the oblivion that bore it. More in Alt Text.

The Vagusbaan is the last functioning of the massive Baan missiles of Heliconia's ancient war era. Unable to find a target either due to a targeting error or the extinction of it's enemies, it aimlessly circles the stratosphere.

Several millennia of organic and mineral overgrowth have layered it's body, kept in check by wind erosion and an ecosystem that has developed on and within it's body. Unlike the Ancile of Heliconia's terrestrial surface, Vagusbaan is blanketed in colourful Metastases, "wild" organs that act like plant life.

Very flat multilimbed Trochilian animals cling and slowly crawl on the windy surface layers, harvesting the Metastases.
Internally, a menagerie worm-like Avtoxier species incidentally maintain the health of Vagusbaan through clearing waste.

Together this ecosystem creates a cycle of growth and decay that keeps the missile fueled and repaired.

Eventually, however, Vagusbaan will lose it's lift and slowly plummet to the ground, reminding the world just how the oceanic craters that still scar it's surface were made all those centuries ago.

A bizarre combination of refined ego and wild instincts, the Soleo has both a tactical mind and a berserker's rage. Unfortunately for it, it cannot use both at once.
Abilities:
Caustic Emanation: Spits a burning line of acid that persists for several rounds
Boiling Dirge: At 25% health or less, the Soleo will enter a state of frenzy. Attack power increases, but commands might not be obeyed

The Swords Grow Wild - Emque The descendants of ancient drone bombers, now a common and peaceful sight in the skies of Heliconia. Further description in Alt Text.

(Species presented are Red Winged Target species of Emque, Targets being a kite sized group with exotic spots that distract predators from their main body.)

A common Trochilian organism in the skies of Heliconia, Emque are descendants of ancient biomechanical bombing drones.

They are a very successful animal group, diversifying into various shapes and sizes that fill in most avian niches. They can be as small as a human hand, or as large as a human car, sometimes bigger. All species fly via organic jet propulsion. Three eyes are common, two for side observation and one for forward and below viewing.

Emque are nectarvores for the most part, using their proboscis to suck up energy rich fluid from Ancile nectar pools or from skybound Re-Fueler mega-organisms that many Emque have co-evolved with.

Emque carry biomechanical bombs on their undersides which payloads are varied based on species and hormonal influence. For example, some species that flock in the sky will deploy flare bombs when pursued by a predator in order to confuse it's vision.
Other species clear out nesting sites by dropping incendiary bombs to ensure a safe landing.

All Emque species are dispersal reproducers, meaning that during the reproductive season, their bombs are modified into seeders holding a payload of embryo-spores that are widely spread across fertile lands.
