Been an eventful first two days at LFF. Intended to see the amazing Naomi Ackie in person, but certainly not Steve Buscemi, John Malkovich, Rupert Grint, Sam Rockwell *and* Scarlett Johansson!

Completed -- Dark Souls II Get why it's considered the black sheep of the series. ➕ beautiful locales | shout-out to Majula ➕ incredible weapon variety ➕ great when judged in a vacuum rather than against DS1 ➖ hitboxes ➖ forgettable bosses + npcs ➖ lacks a sense of epicness ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Completed -- Nobody Wants to Die Relatively entertaining narrative adventure; doesn't overstay its welcome. The futuristic neo-noir New York setting is the real highlight of the game. You'll find yourself stopping to admire it on multiple occasions. ⭐⭐⭐

Really struggling to process it. Twenty years I've watched him. He couldn't hide his smile when I told him I first watched him back in '06 in 1PW. He had such a friendly aura to him; the complete antithesis of the 'Bastard' character. A legend. Our Bastard. R.I.P 🖤🕊️

TW: arm scar That's insane. Especially as it was glass. I have a scar along my wrist, similar placement and I was always surprised by how lucky I was that it wasn't something more serious. (Wasn't glass, rather it was a bent staple)

Completed -- Yakuza 4 Remastered Least favourite Yakuza so far, but a weak Yakuza is still a fun time. Four playable characters sounded good in theory; in execution it hurt the pacing of the game for me. Adored Akiyama. His and Taiga's stories stood out most. Final battle was 🙃🙃🙃 ⭐⭐⭐

Been listening to Big E on this week's KF podcast and hearing him talk MH and the journey he's been on has been special. As a Black man that works in an industry that's often had a "tough it out" mentality, it can't be understated how important his story is. Very much looking forward to his book.
