Wrapped up Castlevania Legends. This is not a great Castlevania game, or even a great game by itself. Overall, it’s pretty bland.

Daryl Grove has been on my mind a lot this week. I never met him, but I wouldn’t know half of what I know about soccer without him. He is deeply missed. @totalsoccershow.bsky.social

“Thank Goodness You’re Here” (2024) A silly little game, but it kept me entertained for a few hours. #credits

Mail call. Realized I have a huge blindspot in my literature background related to YA fantasy and classic children’s books.

First play: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (1992) Digging this one. Night and day different from the first one. The overworld is a nice feature. Level design is fun. I wish the controls were a bit tighter. Seems seasonally appropriate

The evolution from the first game is breathtaking. It feels like a game from a different console generation. Some of the problems with the first game are still there, like level balancing. E.g., the difficulty of Quick Man’s level is still bonkers.
