No wait… I figured it out.. I FIGURED IT OUT!!! Gonna whip up the animation right now. Funny how it was over a toasted stawberry jam with butter and a glass of milk 🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛

This is the middle of the animation and the middle part is a mess of ideas cuz I don’t have that section done and I go with the flow with all of my animations. No script. How do I make it feel grand and cool? What can I put without making it convoluted? I hate you, Greg. You know who you are, Greg 👁️

You see, I want to extend the chase scene. Right now, it stands at roughly 1 minute long. Now I know that sounds like a good amount, but I want it to be more tense, more scary for halloween, but I don’t know how to go about extending the chase scene without making it feel dragged out.

Progress Check: Week 2/5 (I meant to give myself 5 weeks not 4) Y’know I think it makes more sense to do these at the end of the week rather than a Thursday But also, I’ve been locking in with the animation since yesterday (bless the office room), but I’ve been locking in the wrong places…

It’s Madness Day! Looking through old files and found some sketched up versions of one scene I did for the Smashgrounds collab that had hank and tricky fighting and compiled some wip scenes to the final. I still find it impressive my work here #madnesscombat www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/...

Progress Check: Week 1/4 I’d say about 70% in. I have the beginning and ending bits done, but now I need to fill up the middle with more animation. In the meantime, I wanted to experiment a little, so I put a little texture throughout the animation to make it a little more stylish and cool 🐛

Well. Since I’m talking about it a lot, how about I start documenting some actual progress to show the work i’ve been gettin done. Mainly cuz I wanna get it done in mmm.. let’s say 4 weeks. So, starting today, there’ll be weekly progress checks. Isn’t that fun? 🐛 There’ll be brief tho; startin with-

One more thing I wanna clear up. Despite Mella’s last name being “S’mora” she’s not actually a S’more. She’s just a marshmallow. I thought it’d be a fun thing like how Squidward isn’t a squid n other such examples; if however she was a s’more, this is what she’d look like◻️

Here’s the original I made for all to see again. Happy with what I gotten done here, but could be better. It’d be a fun thing to work on next year cuz i’m gonna have my hands a bit full even after I get the animation done, but I wonder what other people think about my thoughts on this 🐛

If I were to retcon the og one (and more serious about doing these marshmallow animations), I’d do what I have never done before and remake the entire thing and let it become an actual depth story between Mella and Marsha and how they came to be

I’ve discussed this with some people before, but I don’t remember discussing it here, but as im getting closer to finishing up the marshmallow animation, I’ve been thinking of retconning the original one from 2024 mainly cuz I made that in just like 3 weeks lol.

Yknow sometimes I think about and stop to realize that I’ve been drawing her for over half a decade and im like “damn… no matter how much time flies, im still drawing this boring ass character that’s just a representation of the beginning” and then I smile at how far I’ve come 🐛

Short Short Fest was very awesome! Got to reunite with some pals from past NG meetups and met a few new people and got to draw on a lot on tables and got to address the gooble allegations. I passed the fuck out cuz I came back home at 1AM lmao. Cant wait to put these stickers on my sketchbook! 🐛🐛🐛
