The new transportation secretary is stating that commercial aircraft arriving on runway 33 is a standard flight path. Is that true? Wouldn’t the primary runway 1/19 be the standard. If you look on flight aware it looks like they were line up for the primary and redirected to 33.

Why was an aircraft crossing in front of a runway approach in controlled airspace? Lotsa questions but that first. I think the tower at DCA is manned by FAA and not contract personnel. However not certain. I know Friday is the start day for all the contractors that got the lowest bid to start.

Looks like they changed the arrival to the crosswind runway. Usually I think they come straight into the primary runway.

I mean, why couldn’t we (United States) at minimum at least shoot this assholes tires out on the tarmac or something to prevent him from leaving the country so these people could at least have some closure? That would have been a chance to do something really decisive and good for these people.
