Same, I was developing gum disease cause I didn’t floss/ brushed badly at 13, I started using sonicare, INSTANT reversal in a week. Everytime I see my dentist again he’s in awe over the transformation and tells me my gums are perfection 😂 I also regularly floss now but the sonicare alone saved me

I think the divisiveness in society/ politics right now has found its way in just forming basic opinions about things we may/may not care for. Either way, I think we collectively think much more black & white about everything, and don’t engage with the ideas of subjectivity, Nuance, theory of mind..

Agreed, I don’t believe the songwriting quality has gone down bc that is subjective. Some people prefer metaphors, poetic narratives. Others like a bold, direct lyricism, matching societally-relevant cadences, vocabulary, slang.who am I to say that the style I like least is objectively bad writing?

I’m Hoping with time I’ll differentiate them more and grow into liking more! I want to like them. I like a lot of the lyrics at least. I do love the imagery and motifs in Babylon, there’s some magic in that writing

Ok so current verdict, patient zero is a winner. The others I’m not vibing with.. that could totally change. great lyrics in all of them, unsurprisingly. I’m just so melody-driven and I struggle with recent melodies feeling too similar to eachother. Grateful as always for new music from her.

You know what I’m struggling with? I feel like Taylor’s gotten into a habit of using this same type of chord progression or something. A lot of the recent stuff sounds so similar, melodically. And most of my favorites from her have really stand-out unique melodies. I think that’s my disconnect.

I truly convinced myself in a weird way that I had been to eras b/c I spend time on here nearly every show, tracking surprise songs & the outfit changes, watching livestreams.. I feel like I went to eras. It’s so funny! I recall being sad to not go but in hindsight I got the eras experience anyways
