3/3 The rest has just been being busy, and friction: the amount of effort needed to do smth, get past inertia. Now my freezer is full of supplies. I'm doing better. I picked up some different quality peppercorns+finishing salts. They live on my stove mantel like little grinders of flavor confetti.

2/3 I hadn't had it in a while and frankly haven't enjoyed cooking hardly at all in almost two years now, and am finally experiencing some joy with it again. Part of that was cooking for my mom and knowing it made her healthier and happier, and it's been hard doing it for just me.

And this is what I made earlier. I love fennel alfredo, but don't make it too often bc it's so rich. I tried making a plant-based ver. Success! Bowties w/caramelized fennel+cashew cream sauce, plant butter, black+white pepper, and freshly-grated nutmeg; garnished w/fennel + pink pepper. #vegetarian

While cooking. This is before I added turmeric, so the colors show up a bit better. After many years, I also discovered it's time to replace my spatula, which is my favorite kitchen tool. It'll hang on a bit longer, being heat-resistant silicone, but alas. 'Every banquet must end.'

Came on here to post cooking. First, plant-based nachos. I wish I could just go out and buy them like takeout. Black beans, onions, peppers, taco seasoning (and a few other extras), faux ground beef, tomatoes; served w/cashew queso and smoked (faux) bacon salt, sriracha, green onions. #vegetarian

Should've diced the canteloupe a bit more; after cooking it longer than I wanted, it was still jammy but not really the consistency it needed to be, so I gave it a quick puree. My feet are NOT happy with me; by the time I finished (it was a double batch), I wasn't hungry anymore 🥲 So just a bite!

It's been a few years, but I was craving this canteloupe cream pasta. Shallot, parm, and bacon? Unf. Canteloupe + pasta sounds bonkers, but it's actually just delicious, like butternut squash or pumpkin sauce, but sweet, and still a little funky. Really unique find! Definitely a splurge though.

I'm in the process of propagating my basil and a handful of other herbs that I want to more or less transfer into a new unit. I have no idea how often I'll be posting bento pics, since a number of things limit me on practical feasibility. We'll see, I guess. Cooking's harder these days. Hence this!

I know the bachelor's button is probably going to rehydrate a bit by the time I eat lunch tomorrow, but that's okay. I only dried it for about three days. The apple, I did use a lemon juice wash to prevent discoloring. Also, usually I try to eat WFPB, but this week I had some cheese as a treat.

Decided to do something nice for myself, so I've been attempting #bento. Hummus w/red peppers, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes. Cheese cubes, walnuts, honey sesame sticks, apples. Lettuce-lined; garnished w/dill, savory flower, and a sugar-dried bachelor button from my hydrogarden. #vegetarian #spring

I have this habit of forgetting media I've consumed, and not usually going back to it, some exceptions, including Wuthering Heights, which I'd go back to every few years (and SV). It has only improved with time and rereading. There is definitely a lot of Heathcliff overlap for LBH. You'll devour it

Although, note that in order to watch the vod, you have to have purchased a ticket prior to the end of the ticket sales, that is, before the shows streamed. I'm still crossing my fingers for a DVD release somewhere down the road!

(As you can probably tell, this includes the Yi City arc. I have been told that there is fantastic and adorable drunk Wangji. Super excited, man! Converter says that the shows are at 10:30PM EST and 4:00AM EST for me (pls double-check for yourself), so I took tomorrow off to watch these live.)

There's a test stream option at the bottom of the blurb to make sure you don't need to make tweaks last minute. You do need an account, but as someone who hates making them lest I receive spam, I can say that these guys have been fine. Support if you can. Fingers crossed for a part 3 next year!
