Finally done with Onimusha! Amazing combat with memorable boss fights and a classic samurai movie plot held back big time by the god awful East Kyoto map and some of the most horrible side quests I've ever played in a video game. Fuck shooting down 5 Kubi Akari/10

Honestly, feeling a bit mixed on Onimusha so far. After being introduced in a linear yet tense intro, the game just kinda threw me to a semi-open world that's honestly a chore to walk around with essentially a 3 hours tutorial on the game's system. Killed the pacing quite a bit.

Finished Star Wars Zero Company The sense of comradery that you can feel throughout the game is perfect. They really nailed the dynamic among Zero Company peeps, and even customizable recruits are given love. Definitely a must play this year.

Zero Company being a less punishing XCOM and having its own intricate upgrade system make it so addicting. I Not feeling pressured to "save scum" after a bad turn due to wound system has been a godsent. The bond system giving huge buff is a great incentive to spice up the party.

While the gameplay is a little floaty, I'm loving where the story is going. Can already tell this is going to get real dark. I wish there was a photo mode. Can only hope for it to be added post-release.

The Last Salvage Squad is short and sweet. It a game that exactly knows what it wants to be, does it really well and doesn't overstay its welcome. The game can be cleared really fast, but it's obvious that it's meant to be a time trial/speedrun boomer shooter and I'm here for it.

Luna Abyss a great FPS bullet hell with a dash of puzzle platformer elements that was joyous to play mechanically. However, the story that started off strong ended up going nowhere and failed to stick the landing, ultimately made me feel quite soured on the entire journey. Still, worth trying out.

Continuing the Grassland clean up! One more side and I'd be done with the region and move on with the main story. I really appreciate these side content. It helps create moments of comradery between the party members that makes the already emotional game even more emotional.

Finally done with Nocturne. Truly a one of a kind experience that every JRPG fan should experience at least once. All modern Atlus game designs really trace back to this. It also perfected the minimalistic approach to storytelling that many games still struggle to get right.

Back home finally! Been playing a bit of Rebirth during my downtime and all while I'm not playing Luna Abyss. Forgot how fun this game was! Finally "unlock" world exploration now that chocobo is unlocked and the "tower" mechanic is accessible! uwu

Kinda nice to have slow months before the shitstorm that is the upcoming September. Going through FFVII Rebirth for the second time, but this time on the PC. The FSR patch recently has done wonders for the performance on the Ally X 🫣 Can't wait to continue this on my actual PC!

Luna Abyss got me hooked the first couple of hours into it. It clearly has less emphasis on the shooting (it even has a dedicated lock-on button), but more on dodging stream of bullets being sent your way, creating a truly unique FPS bullet hell experience that's rare to come by.

I tried getting to Mina the Hollower but I'm failing big time. The game is cool and all, but it really is not for me (burrow mechanic sucks tbh) Currently I'm playing Luna Abyss and it's a blast. This is a bullet hell game but in first person, with quite an intriguing space capitalism story so far.

First Light is officially my favourite game of this year so far. It feels like watching a great TV series but I get to perform the "cool sequences" in them. With the right balance between action, stealth and puzzle solving, this is easily the best action-adventure game in a while

Haven't posted in a while, slowly enjoying 007 while I'm in Thailand. I'm about 12 hours into it, trying to find secrets in the stages and all that jazz, and really savouring the experience. So refreshing to get a good ass action game this caliber again after such a long time.

Playing First Light on the Ally X and dang it's insanely optimised. Playing with mixed settings (high texture, med and low other stuff) and it's keeping a stable 60fps on 720p. About 90 minutes into the game so far and I think the game really captures the movies' feels well.

I'm so impressed with both Forza Horizon 6 and the Xbox Ally X. Being able to play to it on a go is so, so good. The game itself is also really fun so far. I love mindlessly driving around and chill. There's just so much to do in this game, but it also doesn't overwhelm you.
