Youth sport & activity diversity is thought to support later performance via motivation and transfer. We tested this in >200 competitive youth female soccer players. Higher levels did more soccer play & practice, without specialization. Soccer (not other sports/activities) was linked to motivation⚽

My first thesis study tested observation-contagions in golf putting🏌️‍♀️ Watching different actions led to imitative biases, but when the same videos were thought to be errors, biases were suppressed. Weak evidence of compensation when watched errors were unexpected. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
