2. Oh Ah Wok and the language discussion. I like a nice bottle of ramune now and then and having only ever seen the word written down was curious enough to Google the pronunciation. In doing so, found the origin of it fascinating and I'd recommend a Google yourselves - it ties into this directly!

1. On the East/West scroll. Ignoring the later Smirky stuff for a minute, if we can accept that "East" OBVIOUSLY referred to Ah Wok, I don't see how we can argue that the exact same logic wouldn't apply to Julius as the West. An eastern trader, a western trader. It follows doesn't it?

Three weeks into the season and a great set of results. A draw and a win for Kid 1 and proper improvement in his play. Three wins for Kid 2 accross two teams and not a single goal conceded on his line yet. Great to see him settling into his new club!

Cannot recommend the London Transport Museum's family friendly version of it's Hidden London tours enough. We've been itching to get train mad 13 year old on one of these for years - and this was great for him and 10 year old brother. Aldwych tour is so so fascinating and a real step back in time!

Confirms they should've halted ON 7 unlike the other quests which seems a bit harsher. As my 9 year old would say "bro was cooked". Not sure any action on team's (let's face it, Ian's) part would've got them anywhere other than the corridor of blades.

To add to the @knightmarepod.bsky.social discussion on the descender... I was always foxed by whether the "arched holes" were all doors or some were windows - and so not a level. Other quests suggest they were ALL levels - but the next floor after 7 was a window and would have been hard to exit...

Another good recap from @knightmarepod.bsky.social on Spotify - always a good walk down memory lane. The reliance on causeways to get through the dungeons does make you wonder about the etiquette. If someone's halfway through do you just have to wait for the pieces to float back up?
