Artist: @kimberleyeddy.bsky.social On my easel. It’s coming along. I’ve got the composition down and the colours blocked in. More or less. Still have to add more details and bring the water and tidepools to life. Inspired by Bird Rock in La Jolla, California. 🐚

I had such a fun morning learning all about relief printing from Erin Hollingshead at her workshop at @argylefineart.bsky.social I’m so happy Susan Mills and I could learn all about linocut together. #artworkshop #linocut #seashells
A brayer in black ink sits in the foreground with a linocut stamp of a seashell and a mussel shell behind it. Then two pieces of white paper that have been linoprinted with the seashell in black ink.

We walk in our neighbourhood. Sometimes our route is through a cemetery. The path winds through gravestones and trees and is peaceful. 2 wks ago, as we walked along the path, I was stopped in my tracks by what I saw in a frozen puddle. Do you see what I see? #frozenintime #onmywalk #happyheartday
A pattern in a frozen puddle is shown. It is in the shape of a human form curled inside a heart shape made of smaller stylized hearts. There is also a heart at the back of the curled human figure.

A little Summer Moment at Carter’s Beach, NS for you today. Also, a couple of pieces of heart shaped seaglass, and a heart shaped coral stone that I found on my fave island. 🏝️ #cartersbeach #heartseaglass #hearts #seashells #sanddollars #smallart #novascotiaart #canadianartist #gouachepainting #🩵
A flat lay including a small painting on canvas of Carters Beach Nova Scotia by Kimberley Eddy. Also included in the flat delay surrounding the gouache painting are three sand dollars, two moon, snail shells, two pieces of heart shaped beach glass, one round rock, one piece of heart shaped coral rock, a pallet knife with a handle covered in blue paint, and a small flat paintbrush, which has bristles that are stained blue. Also included in the flat lay above. The painting is a small rectangular piece of cardboard with paint colour samples painted haphazardly on it.

#paintinginprogress It still needs some work. Do you recognize this #beach? You might think it looks tropical but it’s in #🇨🇦 ! The coldest water that I’ve ever felt defying all reason because other beaches that are really close by have warm water by comparison. In the summer, of course. #art #artist
Small beach painting by Kimberley Eddy displayed in a flat lay with art supplies, including two jars of paint, paintbrush, and pallet knife are laying nearby. There is a swatch of colour samples above the Painting.

Bermuda dreaming #horseshoebay #bestbeaches #oceanlove #bermudablues #bermuda
A photograph by Kimberley Eddy of Horseshoe Bay Beach. The perspective is looking up the beach toward a scrubby headland that juts out into the ocean. The sand is a pinkish beige and the water is turquoise blue with a soft wave rolling to shore. The sky is blue with many small fluffy white clouds.

This painting was inspired by a quiet walk along Youghal Beach in New Brunswick, Canada. I enjoyed painting the cotton candy sky and calm water. #realism #art #seascapes #painting #canadianart #gouachepainting #youghalbeach #acrylicpainting #oilpainting
A painting of Youghal Beach, New Brunswick, Canada by Kimberley Eddy is shown. It is a realistic rendering of a sunset in the sky and its reflection scattered amongst the sandbars in the calm water below. The colours in the sky are pale yellows, blues, and pinks. This 12”x12” #ocean resin #painting is still one of my favourites. I hope it reminds you of flying over tropical seas and of a beach holiday. It’s a little #mentalvacation to remind us there is still lots of beauty in the world. “Just the Essentials”
A picture of a 12”x12” ocean resin painting called “Just the Essentials” by artist, Kimberley Eddy. Various shades and hues of blues and aquas evoke a sense of looking down at the tropical sea as if through an airplane window or satellite image.
