I can't remember reading the book, exactly. I feel like I did, but I don't remember how old I was. But I do remember that the movie disturbed me as a kid, and still bothers me as an adult. Like Plague Dogs. Permanently upsetting. (Nope, I couldn't find peace in the ending. I tried.)

Thanks. I don't get political ads, in the sense that I don't think that they actually change anyone's mind. I'm a lifelong Democrat. Nothing could make me want to vote for the GOP. Certainly not some silly ad. I'm voting for Dr. Amy Acton, and for Sherrod Brown. Vote BLUE!

I gotta say, I have often wished that all of the US would have instituted medical aid in dying, decades ago. Only a few states have, and you must have what they think is a valid medical reason to die. A terminal illness, with little time left to live, for example. Mental illness has never counted.

I told my husband you have to explain it to these mouthbreathers in simple terms. It's like going to a pizza party and being excited to get the two slices you were looking forward to. Sweet! Two slices! Nice!
But then a line forms and everyone has a slice in hand. They start cramming the slices in your mouth even as you're saying
"no thank you! Stop! I've eaten enough!" But they don't stop and then text other party goers to join in.
You're choking and have a split lip from guests shoving pizza down your throat, so you go tell the host what happened. Then the host says "well, YOU came for pizza, didn't you? I don't see any problem here."
And that's as simple as I can get without drawing stick figures for these morons.

I'm absolutely certain that my therapist would say that this is a very good idea. 🫂 Best wishes finding a shrink that you like & feel you'll be able to work with well. 💙 Sometimes it's necessary to shop around a little, until you find the right fit. It's true in therapy, like in medications.

It's so true, and so ignored by everyone. Everything we care about is being chipped away, slowly in some cases, but terribly fast in others. I don't have to use AI in my job yet. But I might have to at any point. I don't like this change one bit. 🤬

If it were up to me, no RWNJ would be permitted any form of medical care at all, ever, no matter what. They all hate vaccines, masks, and mechanical treatment for everyone else, so they shouldn't be able to take advantage of these things they hate so much.
