I know most of you guys don't go on the other app but the pope posted an anti AI/ pro artists statement yesterday, and the ensuing cope and memes is really funny

Pope Leo XIV
@Pontifex

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

2019: Pope Leo I am ready launch me towards the nearest data center

some AI guy saying he makes christian children's books with AI asking the pope if that is ok then and someone posting a meme react with the pope holding a baseball bat saying 'did I stutter'

I think it's just artists (including me) drawing it so it looks cool without paying too much attention to if it works lol but if you ask me, and judging by some of the toys I have, the hood is an extra part that can sometimes fall over them and hide the cape underneath

happy belated yaoi day to *me*

someone posting panels of Tasky and Ant being cute on reddit

a person asks: are they.. you know?1

another person replies: not according to Marvel, as far as I'm aware, but they are according to artist Kim Hu
and I normally wouldn't take the word of a horny fanartist as definitive, but as niche as Taskmaster is in the comics and as prolific an artist as Hu is I feel like she's created a statistically significant amount of the Taskmaster pictures that have ever been made, which I feel like gives her partial custody of the character

oh, also I am back on tumblr I know I said I would never go back but here we are www.tumblr.com/kim-hu

hey are you guys still alive on here /taptap
I had promised myself to never come back to Tumblr when they started that midjourney deal thing, but recent events had me pick up posting on instagram and X again (I know, I hate it there) because people kept impersonating me and reposting my art on there without credit and then I couldn't even file a copyright claim without having an account on there, so
anyways, Tumblr has no such problems (to my knowledge at least), but I am feeding grok and llama so I am like. man. should I post on Tumblr again then too be that was the only app I actually liked. hm.
