On the 8th day of Halloween, I watched '1408' (2007). I think I tried to watch this back when it came out and I got so angry I didn't last 15 minutes. Very little of this film is taken from the story it is based on. I like the story. This movie is horrible.

On the 7th day of Halloween, I watched '28 Days Later' (2002). It's one of the few times where 'turbo' zombies make sense as they are infected people, not the undead. It's also an example of why you shouldn't screw around with something if someone warns you about how dangerous it is.

On the 6th day of Halloween, I watched 'It Follows' (2014). It isn't about a supernatural STD. I wish the monster/creature was explained a little more. It isn't a ghost as people can touch it. Maybe a demon? I'd also love to know if all the different forms were people it had previously encountered.

She’s hanging out with me while I am watching a terrible adaptation of a short story I love.

On the 5th day of Halloween, I watched 'Attack of the Killer Donuts' (2016). Want to see something amusing, with not great special effects, a mad scientist, & the constant implication someone is going to boink a donut? This is for you. It's a throwback to the Killer Tomatoes movies.

On the 4th day of Halloween, I watched 'Monkey's Magic Merry Go Round' (2024). A psychological horror film with a character who is a combo of Mr. Rogers & Steve from Blues Clues with repressed memories which have spiraled into an alternate reality. Wasn't expecting all the body horror & gore.

On the 3rd day of Halloween, I watched 'The Visit' (2015). Kids go to visit grandparents they've never seen or met only to find things aren't what they seem. Been a while since I've watched this. I still find the younger brother incredibly annoying.

Went to one of the most disorganized Pokemon drops at Target today. Supposed to have things to but, but it was also supposed to have free things for giveaways from 12-4. They apparently had a limited number of tickets for 100 people.

I am going to highly recommend ‘The Supervillain’s Guide to Being a Fat Kid’ by Matt Wallace. Deals with bullying, discovering who you are, how sometimes ‘heroes’ are just as bad as ‘villains’, and trying something even if you’re not sure of the outcome. #books
