Today I came home with my very happy and healthy small child and was greeted at the door by all three of my cats (two of which are kittens) - one of which jumped on the table, put his paws on my shoulder and head butted my cheek and never have I felt so loved.

Exactly why every cat I've ever owned has been indoor, and I helped train my parents cats too (they previously only had outdoor indoor) They're happy little bug hunters, cat toy chasers and lap warmers inside.

Nearly lost my mom, she was in a coma for four days after an attempt. Couldn't speak for nearly a month. Hard to describe the horror that was coming to terms with her moment of weakness - a choice to leave us behind. Now we're much later with a chronic disease and she's choosing to leave again.

Mine slept best tucking herself straight against the wall of literally anything. The wall wall, my side, the side of her bassinet, the side of the crib. Cue me reading stories of SIDS because the baby slipped between bedding and the side/wall. I'm so glad we're far away from that stage.

And on top of this, another memory regarding my kid, gravel, and an entirely different greenhouse. She held onto a handful of gravel and I didn't realize it until we're checking out and she sets it on the counter. The super sweet cashier puts the gravel in a cute mesh bag with a ribbon, no charge.

Oh, and my favorite quote from my kid involves rocks. At a green house and there was gravel on the floor of it- they grab a handful- "If you're happy and you know it, throw some rocks!" And chucks it. Then proceeded to sing the whole song with "Throw some rocks."

Rock I found at a beach with a small pyrite inclusion! I love fun rocks, I love finding fun rocks, I love hoarding fun rocks, I love adding fun rocks to all of my indoor and outdoor planters, and I love the rocks I find randomly in pockets that my child has tucked away. They bring me so much joy.
