Narcisse's whole character trope is very post-Vietname (to me) in the same way Chop-Top is! Acid casualty / Freaked Out Vet archetype that is immediately victimized by Decker (who can definitely be seen as Big Psychiatry incarnate). The dynamic between the priest + captain Eigerman feels like a reckoning w/ christianity in war (so does Babbette showing Lori the literal crusades the nightbreed survived), the priest seeing them wield blow torches against the nightbreed and disolving into hysterics over "theyre killing children!" feels very post-Vietnam. Theres much of NightBreed that is nursing a wounded masculinity in the 90s, by way of killing women and children at home. Which...👀
