Arriving to the crash site. A recent gouache piece set in a desolate landscape. Perhaps with a touch of inspiration from Alien?

Here's some recent Forest Maze pieces. Originally painted in gouache and also added some pencils. But then scanned and edited digitally. With that last touch I guess you could call it digital art in the end.

🔴CALLING ALL ARTISTS🔴 Christie's NYC is planning an AI art auction expected to bring in over $600,000 to creators who've used models trained on copyrighted material from non-consenting artists. If you object to this, please sign and share this open letter. openletter.earth/cancel-the-c...

8 February 2025
Cancel the Christie's AI Art Auction

Nicole Sales Giles & Sebastian Sanchez

Christie’s, New York

Dear Nicole and Sebastian,

We are writing to express serious concern over your upcoming auction of AI art at Christie’s.

Many of the artworks you plan to auction were created using AI models that are known to be trained on copyrighted work without a license. These models, and the companies behind them, exploit human artists, using their work without permission or payment to build commercial AI products that compete with them.

Your support of these models, and the people who use them, rewards and further incentivizes AI companies’ mass theft of human artists’ work.

We ask that, if you have any respect for human artists, you cancel the auction.

Yours sincerely,

The undersigned artists

Due to recent events, this week's laserdisc rip is the Twin Peaks Visual Soundtrack. A Japan-exclusive disc from 1992 featuring Angelo Badalamenti's score set against a bunch of B-roll that a Japanese film crew captured of various places in Snoqualmie, Washington

Title card reading "TWIN PEAKS Visual Soundtrack MUSIC COMPOSED BY ANGELO BADALAMENTI"

External shot of a wooden building with a prominent sign reading "BIG EDD'S FAMILY DINING"

Two men fishing in a river with a Japanese subtitle reading (italicized) "あなたの微笑みを見た時"

Nine slices of pie (cherry in the middle)

A super short animation test made with Blender. In 2025 I want to try and get back into some things I haven't done in years, like animation and sculpting. Just hope time will allow it.

Really want to do a tribute piece of this. In 1982 Hungarian artist Agnes Denes planted a 2-acre wheatfield on the Battery Park landfill in Manhattan. Two blocks from Wall Street and the World Trade Centre. The crop was harvested on August 16 and yielded over 1000 pounds of healthy wheat.

Hello! Starting things up on this new platform with a personal piece called "Midnight Ensemble" in two different colors tests. Obviously the dark one fits much better with the title but I quite like the brighter approach as well.
