It's not about audience size. It's not about patron count. It's about producing the show that I want to produce, the way that I want to produce it. If it was about audience size or Patreon revenue, I'd certainly be trying to satisfy everyone in a YouTube or Instagram-first format.

Your comment about Patreon is food for thought. I never actually wanted to create one, and I was talked into it by Patreon. I don't make editorial considerations based on attracting Patrons. Patreon pays the podcast bills, making the production a break-even proposition.

As a kid, I watched Five Faces of Darkness with zero idea Optimus Prime was already dead. Most of us only found out through the playground rumor mill. It didn't fully click until I rewatched the VHS a year later. Confusing, but I love that episode. Clip from the RFC live stream.

My buddy Shawn made me this, and I love it. It's Galvatron strapped to the therapist's couch on Torkulon, straight out of "Webworld." Shawn built it from a dollar-store Barbie chaise, a Planet of the Apes figure, and plain rope, and I supplied the Galvatron. It's quick, cheap, and perfect.

I own Sandbot. He's an HG Toys beach set from the mid-'80s: a pail, shovel, rake, sieve, and scoop, all built into a truck robot with an Optimus Prime sticker on it. Red and blue parts in any combination, and the pail is always gray.

I spent part of my afternoon in Ghost in the Machine mode on my Stern Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye LE pinball machine. The mode features TORQ III from "Day of the Machines." It's a great deep cut. I took several runs at it and lost them all.
