Clean up your fucking photos. Every time you shoot something, find a time to review it. Select a few best, delete others. You have no need for noise in your library. Nor for hundreds of thousands of files taking space.

Things that feel good are things that you will think are helpful. But just because it feels good, doesn't actually mean it is good for you. We (as humanity) have become addicted to AI, cause it feels GOOD. But think about it — is it helpful, really?

Made a morning espresso just now, and realized one thing. Aren't we like that coffee puck? We are being put under constant high pressure, becoming spent and discarded. One could extract more from the same puck, by pushing it further, but every time results will become worse.

So... Binance supports russian terrorism. Now we know. This is the level of retardness in companies we have to deal with today. We all know russia is a terrorist state, they know it, they know what it does every day,

If you have a Soundbar advertising Dolby Atmos or Dolby Audio support, but it really has only stereo channels — disable that surround crap, it is a gimmick. Same goes for your TV, naturally.

The idea of having an app on your Mac is to have a lightweight, optimized, fast and native experience. There is no excuse for ChatGPT app to bloat from 168,7MB (Native) to a 1.46GB (Electron).

Progressive Blur is the best part of Liquid Glass design. The sole problem I have with iOS 27 — it removes it, breaking the design intention and throwing us back to ancient opaque headers. Not only this doesn't feel fresh anymore, it also feels haphazardly assembled.

iOS 27 Public Beta is out, and yes, you should switch to it from Developer Beta if you are not actively developing an update for your application specifically with iOS 27 feature in mind.

Apple has removed TV panel color calibration from iOS 27 and tvOS 27, it is no longer an option. Audio Delay calibration is there, but not panel color. Shame, this was an awesome feature for people who didn't waste a few thousand on top-tier panels which come pre-calibrated from factory.

Damn, I wanted to say that iOS 27 is smart enough to cap Lossless audio resolution at what connected output is capable of reproducing... But it actually isn't. This works only when playing to HomePod and only cause that actually is a remote stream control, not actually playback from phone.

iOS 27.0 Developer Beta 3 is ready. It is polished and reliable enough for daily flow. I presume we shall see a first Public Beta soon, but honestly, this is much better than 26.0 at release. If you waited to run iOS 27 on your main device, this is a good moment.

Apple Music was made smart enough to distinguish between actual music playback and background sounds playback. When HomePod plays rain sounds, it is not interrupted by music playback on other devices. I am highly respecting this kind of attention to details. It makes products pleasant to use.

Liquid Glass was designed for iPhone Air: Air it is the only one fitting ideally with this design. All others have friction.

5G on MacBook via eSIM, most definitely, should be a thing. iPhone Tethering simply isn't a viable solution for a proper use at work, nor a reasonable one, cause it is that much inefficient.

iOS 27 is another hard proof that industry should move to a 2-year cycle for major software releases, since it contains mostly fixes of everything wrong with iOS 26, which itself was released unusually buggy and unpolished. High quality is achieved by iteration,

Reminder: iOS 27 is in a Developer Beta state. Do not install it on your primary devices. If you want Liquid Glass — install iOS 26.5 or newer. There is no need to jump from 18 to 27. 26.5 is polished enough to be used. A developer beta is not — it is a preview for developers, not a ready product.

Modern Phones should have only one Camera Lens, though with variable focal length and ND filter. Not 3 or 4 different lenses with dedicated sensors. One is sufficient if made good enough. Like in a real camera.

Apple should have named A18 Pro, when used in MacBook Neo, differently. This SoC is very capable, it outperforms a simple "phone" level. Yet people still are dumb enough, in general, to not understand that. This is a marketing miss.

🔥 Hot take: — The world has no need for hundreds of thousand of "vibe-coded" sloppy apps which solve no problem. There is no impact in creating something everybody creates.

I see people raging about MacBook Neo having "only" a 100% sRGB, as opposed to Display P3 better models have. Guys, most of the internet is clamped to sRGB. Instagram converts your photos to sRGB by force. Most displays don't even have 100% sRGB coverage.

Technical debt lives in code base. Cognitive debt lives in developers’ heads. It’s the accumulated loss of understanding that happens when you build fast without comprehending what you built. If you stop writing code and only review AI output, your ability to reason about code atrophies.

AI is not intended to help you do more and achieve more. It is intended to replace you. Human work is pricey, cause life is pricey. That's why companies would prefer to not "waste resources" on humans. Think you would be that person to have value in AI-driven world? Why?

Roman Suvorov @kikiwora.bsky.social · 22/02/2026
Prompting an AI model is not articulating an idea. You get the output, but in terms of ideation the output is discardable. It’s the work that matters. You don’t get build muscle using an excavator to lift weights. You don’t produce interesting thoughts using a GPU to think.

Upscaling is used as a lazy solution to a game optimisation problem. It is being used incorrectly. The idea was to give you a better quality while preserving performance, for cases when hardware is incapable of high resolution native rendering otherwise.

Every demand to "ship it faster" is a demand to cut corners. Cutting corners doesn't magically make shipping faster, it makes shipping "faster" by taking a debt — at the cost of having painful unforeseen consequences to deal with later. These consequences stack.

AI for software engineering is a gimmick. Sorry for those thinking otherwise — you are living in a collective delusion, and too bad for the rest of us, having to face consequences because of those people. But that is simply what it is. A gimmick.

There are few options to ensure you software works as expected, but AI is not one of them. To be fair, writing Unit Tests, having enough Development time, and committing to intentional engineering with edge cases covered aren't either.

The best code is code you didn't have to write. (and I do not mean generating AI slop instead). Design your code base in a responsible way, to avoid unnecessary complexity both now and in future, when making changes to it becomes necessary.

Anything problematic around us is that way cause it has been designed to fail under constrained conditions. It hasn't been designed to endure, but instead made as a fast-as-possible, a sloppy solution to some very real problem.

There is no better time to do what you want to do than NOW There ain't gonna be "later", ever. You won't get more time later. You won't get more strength later. You won't get more opportunity later. You will only loose all of these by delaying.. So do it NOW. Or don't at all.

People need to learn what "NO" means. It is not an invitation to negotiate. It is not a challenge. It isn’t a "convince me". A refusal is not a debate. Respect boundaries: "NO" means you shall stop.

Engineering good products requires intention and attention. It requires commitment, many iterations, sometimes to scrap and redo things completely. It requires Time. There are two parts to any good product: Service for a user and a code base.

It is not AI killing our joy for programming. Its companies hustle culture. Instead of engineering high-quality software with clear intention, commitment, understanding, and polishing it bit-by-bit, you are forced to throw it all at once at AI to get "faster" results,
