Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are still helming it, so I have my hopes up. Anything Avatar-related they weren't involved with, was botched. So, Seven Havens, please please please please please be good.

Avatar: Seven Havens, the third main Avatar series, comes out in a few days. I'm excited for that.

I've now seen Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and the recent interquel film. Not counting the graphic novels (which I've watched recaps of anyway). I am officially up to speed on the Avatar franchise.

I finished Avatar: The Last Airbender!

The episode right after it, centering around Appa, is also super sad and devastating. I wish more people would talk about it.

I've seen many performances, I'm a film-buff after all, but when Iroh says "Happy Birthday, My Son" and when he gets choked up while singing the line "Little Soldier Boy", that's perhaps two of the saddest most tearjerking line deliveries I've ever heard.

kierongc.bsky.social @kierongc.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Even if Mako, Iroh's voice actor, not sadly passed away and the in memoriam screen wasn't there. It'd still be the saddest thing ever.

I'm a few episodes past 'Tales of Ba Sing Se', which means, as you might have guessed, I've seen the Iroh segment. I'd seen clips of it and heard people talk about it before, but goddam.

I've seen bits and pieces of it around when it was first airing, but for the first time, I started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, in its entirety. I'm currently on the second season.

As many others have noted, at this point, every joke suggestion for Fortnite guest characters eventually becomes true. Even a joke I made a few years ago about Beavis and Butt-Head getting added actually happened. So I'm calling it, Anton Chigurh is getting added to Fortnite.

J. Robert Oppenheimer is genuinely one of the most interesting and smartest people who ever lived, but I feel like the film Oppenheimer, while it did introduce a lot more people to who he was. The response to it really dumbed down his legacy. He became "the guy from that movie" and a dumb meme.

I guess since Smiling Friends is ending, I should reveal Michael Cusack used to follow me on Twitter. USED to, he unfollowed me after a while. But hey, I have no hard feelings towards him. I find my younger self annoying too.

Pixar shoving the lizard into all the marketing for Hoppers, just because it became an unfunny meme that I'm pretty sure was industry-planted anyway, is one of the saddest most pandering things I think I've ever seen.

So coincidental timing but sharksfood/xenofelinae is getting top surgery (Gender-affirming mastectomy) soon, and although the surgery is a go-ahead, he still needs to cover his living expenses while he recovers. If you wanna support him, here you go. ko-fi.com/xenofelinae

If I had a nickel for every time one of the Coen Brothers films got minor characters in MLP:FIM that were parodies of the characters in said films, I'd have two nickels, but it's weird it happened twice.

Was in a car driving through Bellevue and saw a dead raccoon on the side of the road literally only a few miles from where Sucker Punch Productions is located. Amazing analogy of the longheld current state of the Sly Cooper series.
