It is almost impossible to overstate how truly no one wants this. Probably 40% of the country is deeply upset about it. 30% more think it's a bad idea. 20% aren't even aware it's going on or care and maybe 5% to 10% are temporarily into it because Trump told them to be.

A better idea for outfits like Third Way is probably to field candidates (w “moderate” ideology) but ones who seize the moment with urgency and are willing to actually fight and do things with power rather than be fearful of using that power. You need to show voters that their vote meant something
