Integrated Bluesky auto posting with a news CMS platform for a news org, pretty cool.

Being using Claude for some frontend stuff to speed up the process for UI, on the pro plan, I always max out their usage really quickly..... is this normal? Seems very little you get.

would you recommend resetting SSH keys? I saw a blog write about it and it mentioned about SSH keys, so unsure.

My weekly task is checking out @aendra.com to see what new task she’s working on and it always seems to be something productive and impressive.

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
They removed the flag lol

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Yeah if I knew the whole of the White House was gonna get verified tonight I would have temp turned it off 😂
010
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
There are lots of ways to solve it and I’m surprised it’s been forgotten about. Twitter did similar about 5 years ago, allowed accounts to apply for bot status to lift limits and avoid false flags.
020
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
It’s been lifted thankfully, no email to say that though. Discord require full verification for bots like this, I wouldn’t mind doing it, if it would prevent issues like this. Doing that step tells discord your product isn’t going to be used in a spammy way, but even the header is a good idea.

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
In blueskys defence likely automated and the flag has been lifted, whomever that was, thank you. I obviously don’t want to be getting any flags so please be open with us devs, clearly this isn’t a spam account, so justice has prevailed, quickly in my case. 👏🏻

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Or perhaps there could be up front community engagement with active developers on here with best practices on how to avoid this. From reading terms of service it’s a false flag. But yes a long term solution needs to be done asap due to the constant growth of products we all create

I did they came back 5 mins later with a ridiculous reply, see thread. I already have anti spam rules on, I store data in my db to prevent duplicate posts etc. all it does is follow any time verification takes place and posts, like that is so mild to compared to other services / accounts on here.
020
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
I mean it’s nothing offensive tagging a user unless the post was insulting etc, such an odd odd way to behave. I did see another dev get hit with something similar last week.
010
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Yeah, if you have two mins and check how ridiculous this thread is. @aaron.bsky.team

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
I’ll probably just kill my server myself before they do that, fuck them.

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Just another push back for open development on this platform, target innovative innocent accounts that have been running for months without issue. Bluesky moderation is really trying to kill its own PDS for sure.

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Honestly it is. Wild. I already have a journalist emailing me from seeing this post 😂 either that reply is AI or someone is working while intoxicated
010
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Their reply. Wtf. Baffled.

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
@jay.bsky.team we really need to have the option to label accounts as bots to avoid this. Especially considering neither has the account done any of this. It follows on average a few people a day when a verification is issued.

@whiteside.io looks like I’m now targeted

Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 18/10/2025
Honestly it’s ridiculous, myself and others are pretty much being discouraged creating products with atprotocol because of issues like this. cc @esb.lol @pfrazee.com

Let me know if anyone wants a TestFlight invite to my new game. Basically it’s simple, play against other users online, play by lasting the longest. Here is a preview!

Spent some of my night creating multiplayer game on iOS, basically you play against random players, who ever last the longest wins. Kinda cool?

Bluesky still being rather slow with their verifications, also the fact that they have still not added further trusted verifiers.....
010
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 05/10/2025
For the live usage part, you'll need the mini. The rest of the app, no.
000
Kieran @kieran.co.uk · 05/10/2025
@imlunahey.com @kyefox.com @whiteside.io yes we have indexed each verification record since day 1,which is on a db. Mainly to track when an account is no longer verified & we can show the timeline, see here bverified.vercel.app/unverified - I do have a internal API which I plan to make it avail, soon

@kyefox.com Hi, creator of this project. No we haven't, however, I have implemented some measures within the code since day 1 in terms of duplication etc, because sometimes the verification listener says they have been verified again - when they have not.
