Thinking about embracing my inner Gene Belcher and just yelling everything I say #Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers has so many good running gags, but I really think the best one is the fact that Teddy is so deeply convinced that Bob’s last name is Burger

Hey so I am becoming less and less online but with Bandcamp Friday coming up it felt worthwhile popping by to say I have a new album out & I think you might like it 🌻

and as a friendly reminder, 0% of the music of kid lightbulbs involves AI, and I made 4 albums of that not-AI-generated music, and you can listen to it all for free at kidlightbulbs.com 😉 RE: www.threads.com/@kidlightbulbs/post…

here's the thing about suno / ai music: it's not for *us*. it's not even for the masses, most people don't care what they listen to as long as it's not actively hostile to their ear drums and generally aligned to their vibe. they've solved infinite options for […] [Original post on threads.com]

I decided to go all-in on Faircamp for kidlightbulbs.com. It's now just a simple little place to listen to everything I've done and a few links (oh and a couple of li'l tweaks that were surprisingly easy to make). Looks good, I think #Musicians of Threads

Unstream has been free (minus my time) to keep running, but as it grows in usage & features I’m bumping up against some of the limits of free services. So I set up a Ko-fi page to make it easy for folks who want to help keep it alive (and/or support other things I do). If you like what I’m […]

Here’s a friendly reminder that streaming music services are all awful for most smaller artists. So if you like a smaller artist, for instance one you met right here on Threads, consider supporting them directly with an album purchase or subscription. My app @unstream.stream makes it really […]

Very excited about this: Faircamp 2.0 is out 🎉 It’s a music site/store that you can self host. It used to take some work to put a Faircamp site together, now it’s a lot easier! Can’t wait to update the lightbulbs archives (my self hosted music site) and play around […]

It’s a little ridiculous that I now get “funkytown”, of all songs, stuck in my head regularly because some drug company decided to use a generic cover of it in a GLP-1 ad that now need to watch every 5-8 minutes while watching old episodes of Bob’s Burgers

Allow me to indulge my ego for a sec: I'm kind of obsessed with and super proud of the 3-song run on my own last album: performance, nostalgia, the grass is quicksand I feel like these are 3 of the best songs I've ever written, and make for such a good emotional 3-song arc of 90s nostalgia with […]
