iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I am a sixth-generation descendant of the Navajo Long Walk, a Diné and Zia descent U.S. citizen. This landscape is not empty land waiting for development. It is a living cultural landscape. Chaco does not end at the park boundary, and neither does the responsibility to protect it.

When UNESCO named Chaco a World Heritage Site in 1987, it recognized the area as important to the whole world. That kind of attention can shape public opinion and put pressure on leaders to protect it.

Today the effort to remove protections started with only a seven-day public comment period. That’s a very short time to respond to a decision that could undo 20-years of protection. Are we meaningfully included, or is this just a step in the process?

Chaco Canyon is not just land, it’s an important cultural site. It matters deeply to us as Pueblo & Indigenous people whose history and identity are connected to it. Protecting this area isn’t only about nature, it’s also about respect and preserving culture. #ProtectChaco

American diversity didn't start in 1776. The 575 federally recognized tribes remind us that this land has always been home to many peoples, many histories, and many futures. That story is complicated and worth understanding. #IndigenousPeoples

Display of headwear from 42 countries #VisitFarmington. Meaning in living cultures is stored in the practice around it: who makes it, when it's worn, what's said, how it's passed down. Take in the beauty. Then read the descriptions carefully, that's where the purpose lives. #NewMexicoTrue

All the dedication our youngest has shown over the past four years really paid off in her senior season. Her sisters, June and KC, along with our new son-in-law Nick, her coaches, friends, and role models, played an important role in everything she's achieving. #SalinasCali

Leaving New Mexico is one thing but returning? That’s soul work. The colors just don't shine, they sing. The land doesn’t just feel familiar, it wraps around you. It teaches, it remembers, and it never forgets who you are, no matter how far you’ve wandered.

🌟🌌 My ancestors understood the celestial sky, wove its meaning and ceremony into their lives. Archaeoastronomy doesn’t just confirm this, we’ve always known it, our oral traditions have always told it. The Chaco World has alignment, intention, and precision. And the cosmic expanse backs it up. 🌌 ✨️
