I personally wasn't a fan of that questline. Felt a bit off for anyone who likes Worgen or is a Worgen. I got the message but didn't really like it's execution. I think in general they need to either make Tess a Worgen someday or have Ivar or Crowley become their Worgen Leader.

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 11h

Because I think Tess should be a Worgen.

It's been nice to just kinda work on this project again. I definitely needed the time and space for it. I'm excited for projects after this one the most. But it's oddly nice to work in this era of Shadowlands again. Very much made it my own while not fully disregarding the canon material either.

It's grating. Like... I have SEVERAL issues with Retail's story right now. I'm unhappy. But it becoming "Forever is better" is becoming my new krypotonite. Like full stop. I don't wanna hear it because I don't believe it.

I need to rant. I love talking about WoW. Particularly Retail. That's where my heart is set and interests are set. I do not mind Forever and will be checking it out. But even when I'm not talking about it comes into talks ABOUT RETAIL. Very frustrating stuff and it's ticking me off.

I have very little comments on Forever. More and more it's kinda becoming annoying that when I'm not even talking about Forever it circulates into Retail. I think they can tell a story where Tess becomes a Worgen. Either willingly or against her wishes. Preferably the latter.

I get what it was trying to say but I don't think I really agree with its message.

I thought this was going to be the case when Metzen was brought on board. But it feels like the World Soul Saga is a weird mess of Danuser and Metzen ideas together. Post-Saga we're gonna need to see the best from Metzen and team because this has just been a bad mess sadly.

I'll very likely do an updated version on both of these pieces. Or moreso maybe a combined variant with them all lined up? I like making art with the leaders posing all cool and the like. I just wish we had more recent updates for some leaders.

Yeah I'll probably make another one soon-ish.

I made art on the Alliance Leaders a couple years ago(?) Or a year ago. Hard to say. But I'm personally always proud of my vision for Muradin, Falstad, Aysa, and Tess. Particularly Tess as a Worgen as I feel that should be in the cards someday.

I wonder if we'll get a revamp for it in the future. One can hope for several locations.

That's a silly reason to believe if I'm honest.

As far as I understand it's just so he can represent the Frostwolves. A lot of art depicts him still with black armor though. So maybe we'll see it "fixed" soon.

Nice to see we have the full image now at least. 😤

I think it's just important to note that the Horde has never really lost a place so it's harder to relate. And we've only lost characters and leaders really. Which is probably why we or I feel more strongly about them than a place. I'd rather lose a place than another leader.

I would not be surprised if we get a "New Dalaran" someday. There's really no reason why we can't. I don't even mind if it's not flying either. But it just feels really weird for the Kirin Tor NOT to have their own HQ.

Definitely plays out differently but I think the main thing that keeps the conflicts going in Cataclysm is the Twilight's Hammer creating fake friction. Varian at this time is way more hot-headed and they might pry more pressure on that.

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I'd imagine while Dranosh would want to avoid a conflict with Gilneas. We still might have issues between the Forsaken and Gilneas rise up. Probably would still have a war there.

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I've already toyed with "What if Rexxar was Warchief" which I kinda kept levels of resentment and distrust amongst the Forsaken and Alliance aimed at him. But in a similar vain, I do think Dranosh would be really well liked by the world mainly.

160

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Dranosh was basically a perfect candidate. Somebody young and somebody well respected by the rest of the Horde. And as you said a very good support system. The Alliance might've even been more chill about Dranosh maybe.

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I love how the Wrathgate was such a major lore moment. And was our first in-game cinematic. But most of all? It took Dranosh from the board. Had he survived? He would've been Warchief and the timeline would've been changed forever with him in Garrosh's place.

Not sure people *need to remember* that bit the most. I think people need to remember Arthas was a bit of a jerk. Often I feel people misunderstand Arthas and project he was just corrupted when it's murkier than that is all.

110

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Arthas is not as easy as simply, "he was good once" there was a lot of darkness behind Arthas even before Frostmourne popped up. If anything I think Anduin would've a bit sickened by Arthas' views even before undeath.

100

Khono Chronos @khonochronos.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Arthas wasn't really doing a whole lot. He was kinda just juicing up Anduin's power -- could've been interesting if Arthas was speaking through him or trying to control him. Zovaal was the man behind the wheel though. Not Arthas.
